Things get spooky on ‘Hollow In C#’ as Hassan pairs a reverb-heavy vocal with chugging drums and eerie pads, echoing his mental and physical state during quarantine last year. Freaky but fierce.

Hassan Abou Alam has spent the last decade exploring disparate sound palettes and genres, from breaks to techno to bass. Today, his curiosity is unwavering. Hassan produces music using a hybrid setup of analog and digital instruments, conveying organised but compelling chaos that’s won him legions of fans worldwide.

Emerging from the ever-shifting cultural landscape of Buenos Aires,
tesssssssssssting is the sonic alias of Andrés Montero Bustamante—a producer, musician, and sound designer whose craft thrives at the intersection of analog-digital experimentation and the organic textures of machines. With a focus on hardware-based exploration, Andrés weaves intricate soundscapes that blur the boundaries between frenetic rhythms, noise-driven atmospheres, and evocative harmonic passages. His work gestures toward IDM, ambient, and breakcore while maintaining a sound uniquely his own.

Hirameki is a meticulously constructed eleven-track album that draws a melodic line across an array of emotional landscapes. Built on a foundation of field recordings captured in various cities across Japan, the record fuses these organic sonic imprints with wildly distorted breaks and a masterful approach to sound design. While retaining the raw grain of tesssssssssssting’s earlier works, Hirameki leans into clarity, presenting a visceral listening experience that remains deeply textural.

" I present to you: Drift.
This project has been a true artistic challenge, surpassing everything I've accomplished so far. I constantly questioned every detail, starting from scratch numerous times, leading to a delay in the release by several months. I delved into every aspect deeply, and although there are always possibilities for further creativity, I decided to stop at this point.

My aim was to return to the essence of Nomaa by blending more deconstructed productions with melodies and basslines, thus uniting the styles of my last two EPs with Yuku. The quirky and unexpected rhythms remain at the heart of my tracks, accompanied by new influences that sneak in here and there. Each track possesses a personal structure and tells a captivating story that never ceases to take you on a journey without stagnation.

This EP also provided me with a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with three artists I hold in high regard, both personally and artistically: Capiuz, Le Motel, and Ravl. Our values, tastes, and working methods perfectly harmonized, bringing to me lightness and balance to a project that was inherently introspective.

If there's one word that describes Drift perfectly, it's maturity. This EP represents my final breath of this year.
I've decided to take a break from solo production and focus on future duo projects. I've poured my heart and soul into this endeavor, and I hope you feel the emotions I've infused, just as I have."
