Following on from the success of January's “Strange Parallels” single, which bagged support from Orbital, Groove Armada, Matt Darey, Mumdance and Kiss FM, and a 9/10 recommendation in iDJ mag, Section Records brings you two fresh packages of remixes of Tripswitch's euphoric track 'Stereogram'. 

Another piece of cinematic beauty picked from the 2010 album 'Geometry', the original edit is driven along by a hypnotic guitar strum and a catchy bassline, building with layer upon layer of pads and synths, until warped guitar washes and a Schnauss-esque lead at the breakdown blast you into a maelstrom of lushness and reggae chops. Another timeless Tripswitch melody which will keep this track in people's ears and minds long after release. 

Keeping the 'stereo' theme, Section is releasing 2 Stereogram packages this March. The first, nicknamed 'left hemisphere' (supposedly the practical side of the brain), is a collection of dance remixes headed up by the mighty Luke Chable, while the 'right hemisphere' (the creative side) is packed with downtempo interpretations from some of the leading lights in contemporary chillout. The original mix will be included as a free track in both releases.

The "right hemisphere" package kicks off with a stellar remix from Swedish master of downtempo Solar Fields who wraps the original in layers of nu-gaze goodness which peel away for the awesome finale. Tripswitch's former label-mate Abakus delivers a premium slice of future dub on mix 2 which sends your head spinning upwards in a swarm of spiralling dub effects. Canadian world fusion pioneer Adham Shaikh gives the tune a different kind of dub workout, stripping it back to its components and dubbing them up over a wobbling bass and a bed of intricate syncopated beats. Tripswitch closes the release with a sexy and hypnotic mix which skips along on an 808 rhythm, weaving heavily-effected guitars and synths together over a warm bassline for an uplifting end to the mixes.

Sundial Aeon - Stratospheric Polar Clouds (Zero Cult Remix)

This one starts off with a snappy, bigger kick, tight snares, a very simple undulating melody, and some heavenly pad textures in the background. The main momentum of the track is the interplay between the kick, the plaintiff melody and the snare, along with little sonic flourishes and effects that perk up the soundscape.

Lab’s Cloud sets the mood of the album with this first track highlighting the preferred colours of his impressive sonic palette: layered pads, tasteful one shots (richly layered with organic, expressive sounds), and pumping atmospheric sounds. Add some soft washes of sounds on the builds, signature hi hats, woody rhythmic passages, and a very textured, tight approach to the drum programming end of things and you've got the secret sauce of the Lab's Cloud recipe. Sprinkle in the occasional growling synth line for emphasis and you’ve got your ticket to a new Spiritual Level.
