What are the components of an excellent back-to-back set? To @cinnaman, it's all about the connection. "Do you like the element of surprise, how do you interact in a certain moment, how diverse is your record collection?" This month's B2Beats mix is an exploration of this question. Recorded remotely between Amsterdam and Ibiza, @benwestbeech AKA @breach-uk and Cinnaman transport us back to the days in which they shared the decks across club nights and festival stages throughout the world. With new projects out in the world like Breach's Sun Salutations EP on These Eyes Records and Cinnaman's Kingfisher EP on his own Visible Spectrum imprint, we can't wait to see the two back together once dance floors reopen again. Like many musical friendships forged between artists separated by physical borders, Yazzus and Miley Serious’ connection was sparked online. N/OBE is a Zagreb-based producer, DJ, radio host, film and theatre composer, and promoter. Half a year ago he made his first appearance on the global club scene with the track Cistern, released on the Italian label Early Reflex — 2020 will also see him releasing his debut club-focused EP, exploring traditional Southern Slavic music and folklore through a compressed, contemporary cinematic sound palette.

Originally recorded in September as part of SUTRA’s Common stream for Currents.FM, this live set has lots of uninhibited, wonky, fuck-all moments in it, including early versions of pieces that will feature on my upcoming EPs and a 9-minute unfinished treatment of a Severina song. Not sorry for the noise.
