Acronym first surfaced in late 2012 on his own imprint Dimensional Exploration, putting out mindbending music and working in the sphere of similar peers like Abdulla Rashim. A few months later he published a 12? on Rashim’s newly found label and platform Northern Electronics. He has now shown himself to be a prolific producer of deep, percussive techno by continuously releasing EP's and remixes on a variety of respected labels such as Semantica Records, Fields Records and Tresor.

Sharing a kitchen is a dangerous undertaking - especially when styles can clash and cutlery can go flying at a moment's notice. However, sometimes when the right dish comes along, the flames are stoked and cooler heads prevail; this is probably what happened when @aquarian approached Deapmash to work together on their collaborative remix for "Hamburglar Helper" -- the A-Side to the former's newest release, out tomorrow on Hanger Management. As they carefully tribute the original recipe whilst tweaking the marinade just a bit, the duo find a way to extrapolate maximum sub-frequency flavour out of this cut from the beginning to end - from the frenetic plating to the final savoury swath of bass that will reverberate long after the night is over.

Alright; enough food puns -- check out this skin-crawling piece of sub-bass bombast down below. Hamburglar Helper/Snack ID is available on the 27th of September via Hanger Management.

Her agility and finesse whilst layering and looping tracks during sets amplifies the depth in her music knowledge and understanding of sonic manipulation. 

This mix is a fine example of that, covering various corners of rolling IDM and experimental ambient soundscapes with flickers of EBM, warped DnB, Folk and Industrial.

Plaster is an electronic music project that was born in Rome in 2008, originally comprising of Gianclaudio Hashem Moniri and Giuseppe Carlini.

Their music is mostly characterized by a dark attitude, and a direction which aims to mix ambient music, deep beats and Sharp sounds; with a technique that always balances the deepness of the sound and where every sound can be interpreted as a story in itself.

Currently the project is comprised of Gianclaudio H. Moniri while Giuseppe is taking a personal break.

The Forgotten CXXIX: Plaster

Whether it’s apart of the multidisciplinary format of the well-regarded Skizze curations or stepping up alongside label-mates for Mindwaves Music, @briain13013 is able to showcase an incredibly broad palette of soundscapes.

What is consistently represented throughout all of his sets is an acute eye for IDM, experimental, ambient, jungle and numerous sub-categories of techno, all meticulously presented in the proper context for the listener to enjoy.

On the surface Skizze appears to be a shotgun spray of genres that defy boundaries effortlessly accompanied by a melting visual experience. However once you delve deeper, there is a cohesive lining that bounds their curation into an evening for those who not only want to dance but to have their mind dance too.
Briain's Inchmix takes place at one of last year's Skizze events and serves as a distinct reflection of the incredible music on offer throughout the evening.

Varg "Nordic Flora Series Pt. 5: Crush" 2 x LP

When the fight-or-flight response edges in—adrenaline coursing and perception wired—our behaviour is especially spiked by an emotional intensity. And with that peak comes a trough. It's a chemical freefall, just like a crush.

Presented by Posh Isolation, 'Crush' marks the beginning of the end for Varg's turbulent Nordic Flora Series. Getting us lost in an exhilarating maze of fainting beauty and breaks, the fifth piece of the series invites us to relish the harmony just as much as the dissonance.

Following on from the previous iterations of the series, particularly the widely acclaimed 'Nordic Flora Series Pt.3: Gore​-​Tex City,' the cast of collaborators remain familiar. Some faces are more prominent on this occasion, while others were folded into the series for the first time at last year's Berlin Atonal festival where Varg's Nordic Flora program was unveiled.

The album's most tender moments arrive when the acoustic instrumentation and ambient ascents cross and tangle with the spoken word performances from AnnaMelina and Chloe Wise. They speak in lullabies of decadence. And the sincerity catches you out, tapering the rush, awakening the crush. When working with both AnnaMelina and Vanity Productions, the gentle details get scaled up for bigger arenas, the track signalling a kinship with last year's Yung Lean collaboration.

Tracing another kind of intimacy is a collection of deft and agile club-cursed tracks that set a new level of scattered cohesion for Varg. Spirited and biting, they bump and quake with a whiplashed gait, effortless af. Not surprisingly, Varg configures this side of 'Crush' alone, perhaps letting this stormy intensity out just the once in a mournful piece with Ecco2k.

True to the Nordic Flora Series, the artwork comes from American multidisciplinary artist Cali Thornhill DeWitt. The artwork is presented in collaboration with international copyright agreements.

Our burning passions light diverse paths, and as the fragility of the heart is learned and lamented, then surely a cause to celebrate this fate comes?

Varg - U Control The Ocean (Second Crush)

‘Preternity’ is a vinyl that collects together four of the most dynamic artists in electronic music delving into tracks from Dadub’s forthcoming album ‘You Are Eternity’. Dadub’s album positions itself as part of an eternity which is forever recurring and in this context Lucy, Lakker, Rrose and Kangding Ray’s remixes emerge as parallel versions of the original tracks. Revolving around the axis of ‘You Are Eternity’ the artists use analogue machines and digital devices to either encode or decode Dadub’s vision.

Lucy tackles A1 reconfiguring ‘Death’. He turns Dadub’s musings on mortality into a malevolent dub tale. Lakker take on the swaggering ‘Path’ and break it down, they add a knotty industrial edge and metallic splinters. The error codes that ring in the background give that feeling that this ‘Path’ leads to the site of a disaster. In Lakker’s hands this track has undergone a malicious mutation. The flip side of the record is opened by Rrose, who ratchets up the BPM and creates a decidedly dystopian new configuration of ‘Life’. Gone is the sample from the original and instead the track exists in a whirling, cyclical realm. The final rethinking comes from Kangding Ray who dissolves ‘Existence’ further into a dripping, aqueous state. Muffled, shrouded sounds come into the fore swarming ever closer to your inner ear drum and the track is warmed by seriously deep frequencies.

SA016 is preoccupied with sounds that point to our most basic assumptions. It’s a collection of tracks that are determined to ask questions even if they can’t really be answered. All four artists selected the Dadub track that they wanted to remake, and what has been pressed to vinyl are part instinctive reconfigurations and part reflected rethinkings of that source material. This vinyl is a unique look at the processes of four of electronic music’s most keen experimenters and a moreish taste of what’s to come from Dadub’s
debut album, ‘You Are Eternity’.
