Following their first successful EP, incontroL & Wolfgang Lohr are proudly releasing the awaited Charleston EP out on Ton Liebt Klang. Two popular tunes, Charleston and Ain't she sweet were once recorded by a professional jazz band (Wolfgang Lohr himself plays the trumpet on this recording session). The duo found the forgotten tapes and brought some life into it producing with no doubt two tracks everybody is gonna love on Electro Swing dancefloors from Portland to Tokyo!

Tanz- und Filmlegende Fred Astaire gibt mit neuer Electro Swing-CD zu seinem 30. Todestag ein kräftiges Lebenszeichen. Neben dem 30. Todestag des wohl bedeutendsten Tänzers der Welt am 22. Juni 2017 steht heuer auch das 70jährige Jubiläum der Fred Astaire Dance Studios® an, die der Ausnahmekünstler im Jahr 1947 gründete und mittlerweile 170 Tanzstudios weltweit zählt. Aus diesem Anlass erscheint im Herbst das Album Puttin´ On The Ritz - A Tribute To Fred Astaire mit bekannten Songs der Tanz- und Filmlegende, die im Electro Swing-Stil neu eingespielt werden. Nach dem Erfolg der Single-CD Puttin´ On The Ritz 2017 mit 80er Kultstar Taco, die Anfang dieses Jahres von Österreich aus die internationalen Download-Charts stürmte, erscheint nun ein weiterer Vorbote des Tribute-Albums. Rainer C. Regatschnig, der als Musikproduzent und Chef von Fred Astaire in Österreich die Idee zur Neuauflage der Fred Astaire-Songs hatte, wählte ganz bewusst den 22. Juni 2017 (30. Todestag von Fred Astaire) für die Veröffentlichung der Single Dancing Cheek To Cheek (I Am In Heaven) sozusagen als symbolischen „Gruß von oben". Cheek to Cheek wurde von Irving Berlin für den Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers-Film Top Hat (1935) geschrieben. Bei der Oscarverleihung 1936 wurde der Titel für den Oscar als bester Song nominiert und später in das Great American Songbook aufgenommen. Die aktuelle Electro Swing-Version von Dancing Cheek To Cheek produzierte Rainer C. Regatschnig mit den Berliner DJ´s Justin Fidéle und Wolfgang Lohr. Die zusätzlichen, neuen Vocals wurden in London von Alex Larke eingesungen, der 2015 mit dem Electro Swing-Titel „Still In Love With You" unter dem Bandnamen Electro Velvet. Electro Velvet das Königreich Großbritannien beim 60. Songcontest in Wien vertreten hat.
