I am a multi-instrumentalist Media Composer with 25+ years of experience in the Film, Television & Music landscape. My goal is the same as yours, to collaborate with you in creating the perfect sonic story that aligns seamlessly with the visual narrative and emotional arc of your project. Character, story and feeling always determine my musical writing decisions, instrumentation choices and stylistic direction.
  I come from a long paternal line of drummers, so I’ve been playing percussion and drums since I can remember.  Wanting to branch out into harmony and melody, I moved on to piano and guitar, trumpet in orchestra and eventually just about any instrument I could get my hands on, with a specific penchant for any stringed instrument. As soon as I graduated high school, I hit the road touring with various bands and wasn’t looking much beyond that, musically speaking, in my youthful naivety.
   But the universe took me on an adventure down a winding river with many branches and tributaries that involved working at a record label, which led to directing and editing music videos, which then led to a 20-year career in film and video production and editing. In a roundabout way, this river led me right back to music composition and scoring. When a co-worker, the director of a feature length documentary, asked me to compose some original music for his film, I found myself right back where I started, and I felt like I had come home .
   I now work on a diverse array of projects ranging from scoring films to writing original compositions for national broadcast commercials, television shows and game music.
   I embrace the notion that the most remarkable outcomes often arise from unexpected avenues. Often through experimenting with unique palettes of instrumentation, I try to uncover fresh and exciting musical possibilities, pleasant surprises and happy accidents that ultimately serve whatever story we are telling.

AKELA MOON is an original musical project based out of Portland, ME. We blend diverse elements of soul, funk, rock, afrobeat, latin & hip hop into a unique sound. Made up of an experienced group of musicians, many of us have played together before in numerous projects (including the long-standing project THE BEAT HORIZON), our roster allows our music to go in many different directions.

The Other Bones are a Portland, Maine-based trio comprised of Andrew Mead (synth, production), Eric Bruce (guitar), and Loretta Allen (vocals). The group embraces contemporary electronic production while featuring soulful vocals and powerful rock guitars to create a unique blend of sounds. Reviewers have drawn comparisons to acts like CHVRCHES, Metric, and Passion Pit.

In the fall of 2011, The Other Bones released a set of live performance videos that highlighted creative use of loop samplers, synthesizers, and effects processors, allowing them to perform well-developed, fully-realized songs with only three people. The band quickly followed with a series of well-reviewed concerts throughout New England.

Six months after their debut, The Other Bones released Hinges, a 5-track EP. The album was recorded and co-produced by The Other Bones and Jonathan Wyman (Rustic Overtones, Sparks The Rescue, Dean Ford), all of whom worked to retain the unity of sound that defines The Other Bones’ live show.

Since then, the band has been furtively writing and producing new material which draws from contemporary stripped-down Brit pop and classic 90's R&B. The trio debuted much of their new material in July 2013 at the State Theatre in Portland, ME, which was hailed as "forward-thinking", "evocative," and "downright dirty". The band went went on to release a recording of the concert, "Live At The State Theatre."

Currently, the band is refining that new material and plan to release a number of singles in late 2013 and a full-length project scheduled in early 2014.
