Music as always been part of Louis’s life. He started with the violin at the age of 5, and the guitar at 13 years old. Always interested by many genres, and after been working with diferent bands (heavy metal, rap, funk), he created the project Suduaya with a focus on psychedelic groovy sounds for dance foors and spiritual and emotional inputs for chillout stages.
His second full lenght album ‘Unity’ released in 2013 gave him the oportunity to play in diferent part of the world, in about 20 countries and 4 continents, on events like S.U.N. Festival (Hungary), Summer Never Ends (Switzerland), Tree Of Life (Turkey), Utopia Boom Landing (Portugal), Hadra Festival (France), Ometeolt (Mexico), DOOF Festival (Israel), Transition Festival (Spain), The Experience Festival (Thailand)…
Over the years, he has made diferent collaborations and remixes with Liquid Soul, Sideform, Lupin, Egorythmia, Lyctum, Makida, Vertex, Faders, Irina Mikhailova, Zero Cult, Ovnimoon, By the Rain, Aioaska, Koan…and released on various labels as Iboga Records, YSE, BMSS, Cosmicleaf, Altar Records…
2017 is coming up as another important year for the project, with the release of a new album on December
2016, 3 years after ‘Unity’, and many new collabs.

Release Info: 
In 2015 Artbat made a loud statement and asserted themselves with a ‘Mandrake’ EP released on Definition:Music. The very first effort from this Ukrainian electronic project resulted in critical acclaim and warm reception by the local and foreign audience. It&#39;s powerful, full-bodied and hypnotizing sound won respect from many DJs of worldwide fame, including Umek, Maceo Plex, Richie Hawtin and Sasha.

Artbat was formed by two experienced deejays and producers from Kiev - Artur and Batish. Their portfolio builds upon a series of about 10 successful releases that charted globally and conquered numerous dancefloors all over the world. Such tracks as ‘Mandrake’, ‘Saltation’ and ‘Chivvy’, released by Definition:Music, paved their way to the international popularity. Though their major step forward – a release on Diynamic Records run by a world star DJ Solomun - is yet ahead.

Aside from Artbat’s popularity, the sheer amount of gigs in their tour schedule has skyrocketed too. Their DJ sets always deliver a wall of unrestrained energy and musical revelation. Artur and Batish fancy surprising their public with brand new releases, IDs and white-labels, unpredictable tracks and exclusive promos – their live shows can be compared to sharing and receiving in return.

In Summer 2016 Artbat’s touring geography has expanded not only along the ranks of the best Ukrainian clubs, but successfully extended the nightlife world capital and club epicenter Ibiza. The Ukrainian electronic duo’s name has frequently appeared on the lineup at the Destino night club.

Called INSTANT fryhide, it will see one special, much talked about track get an instant release with no promo, premiers or press announcements in advance. There will be no schedule for releases and it will see music put out as fast as possible whenever there is a track that suits the concept. The first one comes from ARTBAT aka Ukrainian pair Artur and Batish. Says HOSH himself… "As you know fryhide comes from the German word 'Freiheit' meaning 'freedom'. With INSTANT fryhide we go a step further and really want to have this freedom of releasing whenever we feel like. Away from the classic way of releasing with long schedules and special timeframes and having to wait for the right b-side etc, we believe a strong track doesn't need that nowadays. As these tracks have already been tested on the road and social media probably did the rest… they are good to go immediately." This new INSTANT project is about one moment, one strong track, no remixes, no compromises and no nonsense. This first release is a strong one and marks the start of an exciting and innovative new way of releasing music.

Their new album “The Quality of Being One” goes deep into soul turning ambient-dub and adds drum thrills that get the tunes rocking. The secret of their "danceable speed" in ambient tracks is a higher density of their unique ambient-electro sounds and rhythms to experience feelings through their deeply emotive music.

Starting with deep intros and then merging atmospheric filterworks into dubwise beats for the floor that can be specially experienced in their live performances.

With “The Quality of Being One” the Saafi Brothers take another really strong view into experiencing the mystical oneness of being in unity and brotherhood that we could live in.

Their 6th album is about acoustically capturing blissed out dub beats and tranquil ambient sounds, transporting quality that's almost hypnotic, more than a fleeting electronic moment and shows how minimal decent dubby tracks can be.
