The Magic Tuts Sound was founded in 2003 in Lausanne (Switzerland) and is composed by 8 Selectors and MC, based in Switzerland and London. We all started by collecting vinyls, developing our knowledge of reggae, dancehall music and entertainment to promote this music and culture to the people.

In 2004, the Magic Tuts built its own recording studio, where were recorded talented artists (Buju Banton, Morgan Heritage, Capleton, Joseph Hill (RIP), Mykal Rose, Max Romeo, The Abyssinians, to name few). The result is a collection of dubplates (tunes recorded for the sound on a special choosen instrumental version) that can only be played by the Magic Tuts.

Over the years, we got the opportunity to share the stage with artists like Buju Banton, Culture, Anthony Johnson, Dennis Al Capone and soundsystems like David Rodigan, Killamanjaro, Mighty Crown, Civalizee Foundation, Soul Stereo, and many more.

Recently, Magic Tuts took part in two soundclashes, one in Brixton/London (Foreign Invasion vs King Tubbys) in 2011 & the “1-2-3 Badda Dan Soundclash” (aka"The Swiss Cup”) in Biel in 2012, which we ended with the winning trophy. We also had the opportunity to play dances in France, England, Russia, Finland, Germany, and looking forward for more to come.

As an accomplished crew, we can play all styles from the early 60’s to the latest tunes released in Jamaica. Rocksteady, reggae, dancehall, Hip-Hop & homemade RMX, the Magic Tuts can bring any type of music to stick to the crowd.

Bio:

In Anrath das Licht der Welt erblick, 
in Oedt die Liebe zur elektronischen Musik gefunden.

Dominik Onkelbach ein eher unscheinbarer, junger Mann,
 der früher die Hosen unterhalb der Kniekehlen hängen ließ
 und sich auf vier Rollen und passendem Hip-Hop-Beat fortbewegte,
 fand zu Beginn seines 18. Lebensjahr in der elektronischen Tanzmusik
 seine große Leidenschaft.
Zunächst feierte er wie jeder andere in den verschiedensten Locations,
 entwickelte jedoch mit der Zeit immer mehr Interesse selber einmal den
 Ton anzugeben. Schnell stand im Jahr 2008 fest: Dominik wird DJ.
Ausgestattet mit der Digital DJ Software Traktor, 4 Decks & einer 
Native Instruments Maschine hat er schon so manchen Club eingeheizt.
Zu seinen Referenzen lassen sich eine anerkannte Clubtronica-Residenz
 seit 2011 in der Halle-Luja und verschiedene Gig's zB. im „Parkhouse“,
 „Bogen 2“, „Aratta“, „Mikroport“, „Rheingold“ und anderen renomierten 
Club's im Raum NRW zählen.

Dominik's Sound lässt sich als drückenden, konsequent nach vorne 
treibenden Minimal-Techno abstempeln, der selbst die erschöpftesten 
Gemüter immer wieder auf die Tanzfläche treibt.
Von Gig zu Gig übertrifft er sich immer und immer wieder, setzt sich 
selbst immer und immer wieder neue Ziele und steckt die Messlatte 
immer und immer höher.

There is no doubt, artists generate – especially in our scene - hypes occur again and again. Be it a good track or an unforgettable DJ-Set. However, these come and go as quickly as they have emerged. And there is also something happening in this scene, which is quite apparent: It happens relatively fast. In Germany, the motherland of the electronic music, an artist has seldom managed to infringe at the same time upon such widely spread generations and masses. It is not by coincidence, that ideas like „German Techno Master“ (DJ Mag) or countless first grade placings originate in the process of the scene votings. Tulio Magno is the mastermind behind the Doktor Froid project that started in March 2014. A musician since he was 14 years old, he started his career as a music producer and DJ in 2009, born in Olinda, Doktor Froid brings with him a strong personality in his music.

His music has progressive trance as its main characteristic, adopting a danceable and futuristic rhythm, which leaves his compositions marked in the mainstream. Currently, Doktor Froid is a consolidated reference in the electronic scene and has several milestones in his career.
