Happy Birthday liebe Chris … schön dass ich so ein wunderbares Set zu deinem Jubeltag veröffentlichen darf … lass dich schön und ausgiebig feiern DU toller Mensch <3

Chris ist auch so eine schöne Freundschaft die uns die Musik beschert hat. Wirklich getroffen haben wir uns bisher auch nur zweimal. Aber jedes Mal könnte man meinen es sind schon Jahrzehnte. Und wie ich so oft feststellen musste liegt es wohl an der Musik weil das unser gemeinsamer unverbrauchter Nenner ist. Schon faszinierend.

Aufmerksam geworden bin ich auf Chrystal Chris … ja durch ihren Namen. Da ich selbst seit langer Zeit Kristalle und Mineralien sammle und damit arbeite … hat das einfach gepasst. Damals hat Chris noch in Hamburg gewohnt. Ist dann aber bald nach Berlin gezogen wo sie nun wie ein Tausendsassa durch die Berliner Elektor-Szene wirbelt. Neben ihrem Solo-Projekt als Chrystal Chris ist sie auch noch mit dem Violinist Sawatzki zusammen das Duo Saphear … was mich regelmäßig vom Hocker haut. Außerdem ist sie noch fester Bestandteil vom Kybelean Kollektiv das weibliche Musiker in den Focus stellt und fördert. Und ebenfalls mit Sawatzki zusammen veranstaltet sie noch die Kolibrisonfonie Partys auf meinem geliebten Klunkerkranich über den Dächern Berlins …. Also Tausendsassa passt wunderbar wie finde.

Im April letzten Jahres haben wir bereits den Podcast hier ausgemacht … Chris meinte ach das wäre ja schön das Set an meinem Geburtstag zu veröffentlichen … ok noch lang hin … aber wie immer die Zeit vergeht … hier es dann doch schon. Und Chris hat sich mega mega mäßig ins Zeug gelegt … 6 Tage jeden Tag an diesem Set gebastelt und die Tracks arrangiert. Was soll ich sagen ich bin überwältigt … so viel Feingefühl, so ausgewogen … hach.

Chris schön dass es DICH und DEINE Musik gibt … mach einfach weiter so 💙 💙 💙

Getafixx is Justin King, now living in Berlin, Germany, but London is his home.

Getafixx mixes a range of beautiful and blissful electronica, IDM and ambient tracks with a sprinkling of voice/film/folly samples that add to the emotional roller-coaster of the aural mix. Taking inspiration from the Future Sound of London’s radio broadcasts, as well as from the philosophy of sampling anything if it sounds right, Getafixx creates music mixes that are far more than just mixes, they have to be listened to not just heard, they provoke thought as well as soothe the soul.
