It took a while for me to decide whether I dared to do my version of a Nile Rogers / Bernard Edward composition, but then Sister Sledge's Lost in Music exactly hit it, so I decided to give it a go. 
For the first time I had some support by my long-time friend and co-member in multiple bands Stefan. I fell that his drumming contributions pushed the song a big leap forward! Hope you like it as I/we do

Dubbing Crisis (April '22)

I arranged this to be performed live on December 17th, 2022 at JJ Jones' "Same Old Song" (see also https://soundcloud.com/elem089/stayin-alive-sos-live-set-23-07-2022) event at Munich's "Milla" club (https://www.milla-club.de). Last Christmas (SOS Live Set 17-12-2022)

Some time in 2021 I heard about this series of events ("Same Old Song" or "SOS"), where a set of musicians performed their versions of a single song for an entire evening. And when I learned that a "SOS" event was planned for "Stayin' Alive" (https://soundcloud.com/elem089/stayin-alive-summer-20), I knew I had to be there. When in 2022 live concerts where possible again I was invited to be part of the show. I re-arranged my version to be played live, then asked a bunch of friends to perform it with me. Stayin Alive (SOS Live Set 23-07-2022)

May 2023 saw another "Same Old Song" (SOS) events (#31 to be exact) at Munich's Milla Club (see https://soundcloud.com/elem089/stayin-alive-sos-live-set-23-07-2022 and https://soundcloud.com/elem089/last-christmas-sos-live-set-17-12-2022). If you couldn't make it yet you missed something! This time 12 acts presented their interpretations of Madonna's Material Girl. Here's my go at it.

Into The Black (Spring '23)

"Same Old Song" (SOS) goes on and on: on October 28, 2023 we made our next appearance at Munich's Finest "Milla Club" for SOS #32 (see https://soundcloud.com/elem089/sets/sos-same-old-song-live for the entire playlist). This time the club was packed as never before, and you really missed something! 14 acts presented their interpretations of KISS's epic hit "I Was Made For Loving You". Here's my go at it, quite close to the version we did live (video will hopefully be posted on YouTube soon!)

One more Same-old-Song (SOS) driven event took place on Dec 16 2023 at the Stadtmuseum in Munich's historical center:
SOS host JJ Jones took us all on a 6hr ride through multiple variations of THE Christmas classic "Silent Night" aka "Stille Nacht". It was a very funny but also moody evening which was performed in front of an audience, and broadcast live over the air. Sorry if you missed it!
Here's my/our go at this epic; I chose to sing the Spanish version as it emphasizes on the words "peace" and "love" which is what we all *really* and desperately need these days!

Hint: if you're missing the original melody of the song: try to concentrate on the piano accompanying the voices ;)

Noche De Páz (SOS "Stille Nacht" Marathon Live Final Set 16-12-2023)

If you look at my tracks you might realize that I have some hang on 70's and 80's disco. So here's another true classic of that era. 
Of course I had to make some adjustments. No chance to compete with Errol Brown's pitch, to start with. And while I was at it I also changed other aspects of this great tune. Enjoy!

BASS LMNT started as a personal solo home studio project and over time developed into a real band with a bunch of long-time friends.
