The song ‘Into the Spirit (Song for Mark Hollis)’ is taken from the Rockets in the Trees album “time to live on the edge of life” released in March 2022.
The adapted single version here will be released via all digital platforms on 25/FEB/23 on the fourth anniversary of Mark Hollis’ passing.

Phill Brown, the engineer of ‘Spirit of Eden’ and ‘Laughing Stock’, as well as engineer/co-producer of Mark Hollis’ solo album, listened to the song and said this: "I really enjoyed the track – there are some lovely touches and a wonderful Bass-end.
The Talk Talk references are wonderful and subtle, you did not fall into the trap of making it sound like TT.   If you get a finished album together please send it on."  After hearing the whole album, he went on to say:  "..it sounds real – there’s loads of space and dynamics.  It does not feel over-treated with compression or effects.  I really like the vocals and I feel part of the performance when listening."

Song for Mark Hollis by Rockets in the Trees

Man is a song I do with my band Ruby Dawn. This is a take of the song but more like in an experimental sampling way. I've only used the line Man Where's Your Heart and followed a totally different structure mood and emotionality.  I really love experimenting with wordless vocals, or mixing some words in with no language based melodic lines. This way the music remains universal, and I can express an emotion without articulating it in any language.  Man is made of mostly harmonic voices and instrumentation.

The Blind Parade are a 3 piece; 4 piece; 5 piece band from Quarry Bank in the Black Country.  They recorded their music using a Yamaha MT120 four track portastudio and asked elementary recordings to mix and master for release on their label.
Their first ep will be released on 4 February, followed by another 4 tracks in March, April and May. 4 eps; 4 songs; 4 track; 4 months; all for you.
