Well , this is the last song for 2023 , and what a good year it's been for both myself , and Charlie and the Fox with Charlotte . Lots more to come next year , starting off with Say Hello To My Friends on the 5th of Jan' , then on the 10th myself and Gaz Brownie release a belter Give Each Other Up . Well, I'm a grandpa now, so I recorded this to celebrate my new status.

Daniel came into this world and made my day.
Snow was falling in Utah so far away.
Hope you'll find there lots of love, and, if you cry,
your dad will sing you lullabies.

Soon you will become a man, and I'll be gone.
I hope you'll find then what it means to have a son.
Will you hold him in your arms, and, if he cries,
will you sing him lullabies?

Someday we may just be names once carved in stone,
and the memories of our birth will all be gone.
Others will comfort their children as they cry.
But will they sing them lullabies?
