Well, I'm a grandpa now, so I recorded this to celebrate my new status.

Snow was falling in Utah so far away.
Hope you'll find there lots of love, and, if you cry,
your dad will sing you lullabies.

Soon you will become a man, and I'll be gone.
I hope you'll find then what it means to have a son.
Will you hold him in your arms, and, if he cries,
will you sing him lullabies?

Someday we may just be names once carved in stone,
and the memories of our birth will all be gone.
Others will comfort their children as they cry.
But will they sing them lullabies?
