ある日、彼女はルーレットを回しました。
自分の運命は自分で決める。そう、それは運命のルーレットです。

「いつ崩壊するかわからない、砂のお城に住むのは嫌。」
「まずは山を買おう！そしてタケノコを育てて本物のお城を買うの！」

たちまち努力は実を結び、全て彼女の計画通りに進みます。
そんなある日、いつものように彼女は収穫したタケノコを売るために街を目指します。
しかし、一つのタケノコを落としてしまい、コロコロと湖に落ちていきます。
「ああ、完璧だった私の計画が崩壊していく・・」
・・・・・・・・・・・・
そんな感じの曲です。
説明が長い！くどい！・・なにはともあれ、新曲です。
Vocalサンプルも少し入れていて、英語がわからない私が聴くと「Down Down Takenoko」と聞こえたので、このタイトルになっています。

またいつものように即興ギターを組み合わせて無理やり曲にしました。
エレアコを修理して、DIも買って、ご機嫌でギターを弾きました・・ほかの音に埋もれたけど(^^)
説明が長い！くどい！はい、すみません。以上です。

■Overview
One day she spun the roulette wheel.
She decides her own destiny. Yes, it's the roulette of fate.

"I don't want to live in a sand castle, not knowing when it will collapse."
"First, let's buy a mountain! Then we'll grow bamboo shoots and buy a real castle!"

Soon her efforts bear fruit and everything goes according to her plan.
One day, as usual, she heads to town to sell the bamboo shoots she has harvested.
However, she drops a bamboo shoot and it falls into the lake.
"Ah, my perfect plan is falling apart..."

It's a song like that.
Long explanation! Tired! ...Anyway, it's a new song.
It also includes a few vocal samples, and when I listened to it even though I don't understand English, it sounded like "Down Down Takenoko," hence the title.

Also, as usual, I combined it with improvised guitar and forced it into a song.
I repaired the electric acoustic guitar, bought a DI, and played the guitar in a good mood...although it was buried in other sounds (^^)
Long explanation! Tired! Yes, sorry. that's all.

This song started as a recording of Computart playing the guitar and singing/whistling to a metronome, which you can find raw on his page. Having worked together before on a song called The Shining, the Frenchman reached across the pond again and asked me, the Yank, if I would like to add anything to this. This style of music being one of my favorites, I jumped at the chance. Of course, I got Ken involved right away because every great song needs a great drummer. I came up with a bass line, to which Ken added drums, to which I in turn redid my bass line, as is our usual process. I then added the mandolin. Then, Ken added the hand drums to put the icing on the cake. Tez was generous enough to produce and mix this for us, and we feel like he got it to sound like we were all playing in the same room together.

This one was a lot of fun!  I know when Jeff or Terry say there's a contribution from Jo, Tot, or someone new that it's gonna be special. This one has all of the above. Those individuals on wheels had a hard time finding their feed. Hungry they were - for that special dumpling that connects you to anything pagans and believers alike deem holy. Although endowed with holographic properties, you can't walk on clouds unless they are numbered. They kept drifting upwards, therefore, slowly upwards until they hit the ceiling called Mars. Mars always happens to be where your head needs something to bump against. That's the nature of war.

This is really a creation of Tez, who put it together from a mix of JJ's and Josh's parts on the high end. He was kind enough to share it with JJ and Josh, and have us be a part of this psychedelic whirlwind. Tez gave Josh and JJ a bass line attached to a house beat. They both came up with parts that were wildly different than what you hear. But that's just one example of the magic that Tez's wields. He can bend sounds and parts to his will and create something totally different from the original, new and exciting. We all hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.
