'Rose Ringed’s latest EP is quintessentially high energy, uplifting music, but unusually, in three diverse forms ranging from electro pop to deep groove techno and euphoric house. Since his first EP 'Spring Memories’ instant success in 2018, when Kölsch played 'In Your Arms Again' during his BBC Radio 1 show, the Amsterdam drummer, pianist, DJ and producer stepped straight into international acclaim for his releases and enviable streaming stats.

‘Impossible Love’ channels 80s electronic pop with a clean, bouncy Aha vibe, but this time to ‘Take On’ homophobia. ‘I wrote this song for everyone around the world whose love is impossible because of culture, beliefs or laws. I made it upbeat, because I believe we are heading in the right direction. Slowly, but we’re getting there.’

Alfiya is a professional trained violinist and she incorporates that beautiful acoustic instrument into her own productions. The result is a fresh and rich sound. Acoustic meets electronic.

Some times the music just magically comes out, and that is the case here with "Syria" by new Sol*Selectas artist Unders from Amsterdam. After several successful tunes above the 120 BPM mark on labels like Sincopat and Groove On, "Syria" was Unders' first attempt at slower grooves, and an accidental experiment that just "fell into place, and was automatic magic". Syria's current political unrest is all over the news and social media, and the story being painted is difficult to watch. Driven to create a song which goes against all the negative publicity, Unders says "between all the negativity, the more i looked into the situation, the country, its people and its culture, the more this track reminded me of so much beauty the media doesn’t portray." The song itself a slow minimal trip with chopped up guitar licks, a gorgeous flute sample that takes the listener to far off desert lands, and features the vocals of Veerle.  Satori is yet another up and coming producer from the Netherlands, gaining instant recognition sharing the stage and studio with Acid Pauli, and producing incredible tunes utilizing live instruments played by himself, and tastefully incorporating these with electronic elements. His remix preserves the original message of "Syria" lowering the BPM to an even more hypnotic 104 BPMs. Satori adds middle eastern strings and chords, swapping out the original vocal for a more Saharan inspired call, and even plays delicately with some acid sounds furthering the listeners journey.  
Both songs are meant to invoke peaceful images of Syria, and conjure up positive intention on the dance floor. Sol*Selectas is very excited to present the debut song "Syria" from Unders, and the amazing remix by Satori,  two artists from the Netherlands you would do well to keep your eyes and ears open to in 2016.

They crossed endless fields and dense forests, above them the crystal blue sky and the warm sun warming their feathers. The world was in silence. But on the horizon dark clouds gathered and formed a storm. Rain was hitting the earth like drums and thunder shook the air. The birds fought their way through the clouds, spending so much of their energy that they almost fell out of the sky from exhaustion. But the moment they broke through the clouds they were free again. Here they could have flown forever till their final destination.

About the release
Lindahl returns back on Somatic with his stunning EP 'Audara' after featuring on the release Underground Frequencies back in 2019!
Producer-DJ-Artist Lindahl, is a Swedish-Irish producer, born in Spain, Lindahl encompasses a melting pot of cultures, infused into one artist. Currently based in Berlin and working from Riverside Studios - He has been hard at work with vocalist KOKA on her solo project whilst creating the beautiful lead track Audara with lyrics infused in English & Albanian. With the primary focus of Lindahl's music lying in the realm of positive emotions and unification, he has brought these themes to light through the selection of warm sounds and musical moods.
