 ELEPHANTS ON TAPE – detail-loving Independent Pop, combined with live-electronics. Five Elephants, archieving balance on a black tape, mounted on the thin line between danceable, krautesk beats and spherical soundscapes. Lisa Zwinzscher (voc, git), Markus Rom (git, voc, synth), Robert Gemmel (synth, sampler, voc), Lukas Stodollik (bass) und Hans Arnold (drums) found each other in the mutual strive for enormous sounds in both live and studio contexts. The five of them share a common preference for electronic and acoustic mixtures, which is uttered in form of a music that couldn’t be more up-to-date than it is – electronical sounds, created by acoustic instruments. With this concept a unique bandsound was created, whose borders are softened anew on every concert.

We embrace the plings of life, all the tiny beeps and clicks, the sparkling crackles from somewhere far behind. We love melodies, candy for your ears. And yet bitter as orange peel. We crave chords, the sinister, the blue, the bold, the subtle and the upbeat. We have thoughts to share, melodies to sing, noise to make. With you. This is our Plingiverse. We are Pling!
