Bau Muzik is the new label created by DEAS and inspired by his fascination of the Bauhaus style. This project will showcase new music from DEAS and a selection of special guests. We invite you to dive into the soundscapes showcasing his definition of modern techno.

DEAS has been building his music profile following excellent EPs on Abstract Division's Dynamic Reflection, Marco Bailey's MATERIA and legendary Dutch label Planet Rhythm, as he continues to impress with his expertly crafted dance floor weapons.

Rotterdam's Triple Vision is the distributor of Bau Muzik who look after labels like Bas Mooy's Mord, Dax J's Monnom Black and Emmanuel's ARTS.

"Confusion" has huge rolling drums under haunting, lead synth stabs followed by an electrified lead sound that builds into the break with rising tension. A powerful feeling of menace and faultless function is locked inside the groove.

"Block" is the title track and second offering, with thundering percussion and sharp, metallic hits it uses intense bleeps and sweeps to make this a breakneck DJ weapon.

Third up, "Convenience" has a stomping sound combining with abstract, eerie tones to create an ominous, trippy and twisted mood within this peak time jam.

Closing the EP with "Dystopian Future" it focuses on a sci-fi aesthetic made from morphing, warping acid licks and static hums that prowl the airwaves with a somewhat sinister motive. The synth accents that appear later really take it to higher heights of hypnotic engagement.

A stalwart member of the team across the label's fluorescence has been Berlin based producer Torsten Kanzler who has appeared in amongst VAs and with his own solo EP back in 2020.

Torsten's masterful approach to production and his melding hardware and software instruments generates a truly unique strand of Techno that has always sat him neatly within the milieu of Kuukou: his work packs punches whilst also possessing a warmth that makes it as kinetic as it is emotive.

His 'Bulli EP' bares these qualities and head to toe is another armoured set of club tracks guaranteed to shake the foundations of the floor. The title track sets an off-kilter major / minor synth line gambolling over a heaving, subby kick. Reverb, delay and mangled filters are gently adjusted to provide a sense of space as tension steadily swells throughout.

Label head Simina Grigoriu then follows up with her interpretation which compresses the track into a tight box, giving it a more intense sense of pressure as it swirls through spooky vocal snips and synth stabs. 'Afuche Cabasa' then closes up the EP with a slightly lighter touch. Sparkling tones and birdsong sonics dart over a heart wrenching low end which carry a conclusive feeling; a perfect close to a varied and effective record.

Spain’s modern techno icon Cora Novoa returns to Turbo Recordings for her second EP on the Montreal imprint, following up 2021’s 'Two Faces EP' with a new peak-time offering : 'LFOs & Creatures’. Constantly testing the intersections between art & technology, Cora harnesses masterful synthetics and ominous drum programming across the four-track project. The EP’s title track leads the line with a top-of-the-line techno slammer, in classic Cora Novoa style. ‘Digital Identities’ and ‘Self Control’ elevate energy even further, as industrial tones creep deep into the groove. The lead single from the project is the EP’s closer - Oracle - which settles into restrained breakbeats and a smoothly engineered ambience. Cora Novoa takes no prisoners, and her return to Turbo is sure to slam all summer long.
