Carmine is an Oakland-based DJ known for his dynamic blend of eclectic and underground influences that resonate across a spectrum of house & techno. Carmine’s sets effortlessly traverse these genres and styles, which has earned him a reputation as a versatile and skilled DJ. He is also a driving force behind Perfect Dark, a record label and collective dedicated to nurturing connections through a shared passion for electronic music. Perfect Dark’s events are known for their inclusive and high-energy atmospheres, turning heads in the US techno scene and beyond. Seamlessly transitioning between heavy techno tools and soulful house rhythms, Carmine can be found mixing tracks at sold-out warehouse shows and clubs across the US.

"For my debut supplement, I wanted to bring a new flavor of tracks that reflect my latest inspirations. While four-to-the-floor grooves and techno remain at the heart of my sets, I've been increasingly drawn to more synth-focused and melodic sounds, which adds more color and depth to my usual selections. Recently, I’ve also stumbled across many great house tracks from the early 2000s, as well as contemporary sounds that echo that Y2K style. For this mix, I aimed to bring all of those influences into a one-hour set, trying to strike the right balance between songs that push the envelope in their respective genres and those that pay homage to influences from years past. I hope you enjoy this mix as much as I enjoyed putting it together.”

Middle James is the combined effort of Sam Weeks and Connor Mackenzie, dedicated to deep house with a jazz twist. A skilled saxophonist and pianist respectively, the duo share more than just the middle name James, with a passion for creating music dedicated to both body & soul.

'PetNat' is the deepest recess of this passion. Out via the duo's new EP 'Souvenir', it tickles past the ears in a way that only grows closer with each listen, like you're on the cusp of getting to the after party.

'Souvenir' is out via Eora/Sydney label CD Discs. Their aim, as they shared, "is to create original Australian music through merging the artistic and cultural worlds of jazz and electronica in a dance context.
