Monument:
How did your interest in techno music come about?

BLNDR:
I started listening to electronic music in 2007 when "Justice" first album "cross" came out . It was a revelation that made my interest in electronic music grow! Then I started listening to larger genre such as techno and house. My interest in techno really came out when I discovered Underground resistance's Nation 2 Nation EP.

M:
Give us a briefing about the labels that you are on (Container and Hypnus records)

B:
Container & Hypnus are two realy different things . Container is a collective that gather techno lovers, producers, graphic designers and party organizers. With that team we are able organize our own techno parties in Paris and it’s suburbs! Hypnus is the label where i will release my first EP really soon! It is a Swedish label that shows an interest in deep hypnotic techno. I am really proud to be part of the Hypnus team. Lots of talents... and a great boss :)

M:
What inspires you musically?

B:
I am really inspired by the Industrial vibe you can find on the techno scene today. Metallic Dark & cold tracks... With also strong inspiration from the Dub, acid, deep & mental techno. But when it comes to DJing i sometimes like to play really hard sest with fast BPM. Classic Rave Acid tracks mixed with recent techno artists such as Truncate, Psyk or Luke Slater.

M: 
Give us your take on the techno scene today

B:
The Techno scene today is really inspiring for me... so many great producers & labels.
I'd say my top five label of the moment are: Mote Evolver, Prologue, Sandwell district, Stroboscopic artefact & Avian.

M:
What is your favorite record of all time?

B:
Quite difficult question... It might be "The Campfire headphase" by Board of Canada...

Hailing from Tel-Aviv, Israel, Jack Lavy known as Sage (@jack_sage), has left his marks in the local underground techno scene in the last couple of years with his unique style of hypnotic techno. he is part of Obscure, a techno collective running the Obscurity series of events and is also the founder of the podcast project Parallel Perception which has been praise from many artists across the globe. Siamo giunti all'ultima puntata di questo 2020 tra lunghe pause, altrettanti silenzi, distanze incolmabili, alti e bassi che hanno radicalmente cambiato ognuno di noi in modo più o meno profondo; la malinconia di ciò che era non ha sopraffatto la voglia ed il desiderio di tornare, vicini, uniti, a ballare per ciò che sarà.
Abbiamo allora  deciso di salutare questi strani 365 giorni, riservando l'ultimo episodio ad un ospite speciale che  ha saputo con la propria vinyl selection ritemprare il ricordo caldo ed ancora vivido di cosa si prova a ballare nel nostro posto preferito, il Komorebi Music Festival. 
E' Leena che oggi si presenta con il suo groove energico che sa di ogni sorriso, di ogni raggio di sole, che come le radici nei nostri alberi, abbraccia le caviglie e non ti fa smettere di ballare. Spaziando tra timbri techno, tribali e deep house crea un ambiente sonoro dove la forza della sua passione musicale viene percepita in ogni nota.
Nonostante l'apparente distanza, restiamo sempre un unico corpo danzante sotto l'effetto della nostra amata musica.

“10K was originally recorded in 2017 as a simple piano-leading ambient
track during a home studio session. It was developed further only in 2020 after Simone & Luca invited me to contribute to the project. A sudden burst of inspiration came during a mix-down session when I tried to re-record the original timbre of the piano. Eventually, while experimenting, it went a completely different direction and the track turned into its present form. Thanks to Simone for an encouraging word while I was working on the track.” - Etapp Kyle
