This is the first  proper album by Dungeon Acid!
 Since we first released his debut 7” in 2010 the man has done a bunch of life changing 12”s and cassettes, always with the rhythm in focus, inspired by early techno and acid House from Chicago and Detroit mainly, we’d say.  
 
The here is now, and the past has been. Jean-Louis Huhta being part of most good things coming out of Sweden since the 80s; from his teen days playing in Cortex and  filthy crust punk with Anticimex and touring the UK in a van with no seats with Napalm Death, to early electronic dance music experiments with Lucky People Centre, ritual rock tribalism with The Skull Defekts, and electro-acoustic sessions with people like Zbigniew Karkowski and CM von Hausswolff. His back catalogue is sick, and great.  
 
But to now. This double vinyl LP is the top of a mountain containing tracks from 2010-2018, contemporary techno aimed at the dance floor filled with skills, personality, warmth, history and future.

The date was the 30th of February 3030 and the sun was setting on Geneva. The air was thick, filled with ash from an impact that has radically modified the scenery. At the surface of the Rhône, jellyfish were adjusting their perceptronic implants in order to map out this sudden modification of their environment that had become the largest crater in the history of the Jonction area. The trail of debris ran from the junction of the Rhône and Arve rivers right up to the legendary derelict factory called formerly called l’Usine, which used to be a centre for alternative arts, culture and live music.
Terrified by the deafening crash of the astral body into the millennia-old building, humanoids and robots alike flocked to the smoking hole that seemed to lead straight to purgatory. Among the curious crowd, Burd Bibendaze, Salt Lake City’s infamous astral body impactology in fresh water environments specialist. Burd had been in town for a thousand years by now, still studying the hybrids created by the impact of the last asteroid to hit Geneva’s lake region in the early 21st century.
As Burd was still trying to fathom his luck at witnessing a second impact in such a short space of time, he saw something move in the gaping hole beneath him. A relatively small, half slug-like, half humanoid being was floating it’s way up out of the hole. The creature had a mask in the shape the like of which Burd had only seen in history books, as if there really was a life-form that fit the 21st century human’s idea of what an extra-terrestrial.
As the automated security forces rushed to the unkown creature, it waved them aside with a deft movement, stopping them mid-air with a power beyond Burd or any of the onlooker’s comprehension. The creature stopped and looked straight through Burd’s eyes and into his soul. “Hello Burd”, came a voice in his head, “My name’s Brian”. Netsh is dead, long live Netsh ! The 24 year old producer is back on Comic Sans Records and delivers a 6-tracker EP that sounds like a true aggiornamento in his music.
The braindance inherited from Aphex Twin which we can hear in Neural Netshworks, is here replaced by something new that defines the contours of a 2.0 upddate of his creative process.
Netsh has left aside most of his usual hardware and used different time signatures. This renewal in his working method gave birth to Cyberbass, an energetic style in which IDM and futuristic bass music blend to musically describe a close dystopia where humanism has given way to transhumanism.
The EP and its tracks are crossed with contrasts, the ear is often knocked out by a powerful polyrithmia before being released by emotionnaly intense breaks.
It's probably Netsh's way of illustrating one of the biggest philosophical debate of our time : will technology free human kind or on the contrary enslave him ?
