Joe King born in raised in Staten Island, New York City started his love for music his junior year. He traded courts for tracks after deciding not to play for his high school basketball team. Eventually his love for studying and creating music lead him earn a degree in Audio Engineering from the Institute of Audio Research and become ‘Joe Kool’, a engineer in the Oceans 13 Collective of Staten Island, NY.

Prepared to take his brand and music to the next level, Joe Kool has recently released two projects Lillie and Kollective. These two projects show the progression of the near perfection of Kool’s engineering skills as he includes a piece of his daily life experiences in the heart of the vibe of every track.

In addition to dropping single tracks throughout the year Joe Kool will be working with artist, Presice, on his debut album “Take my soul, give me my brother” a project about dealing with the everyday struggle of being a poor black kid in the Bushwick hood of Brooklyn trying to follow his dreams.
