As a producer I create my own beats, riffs, arrangements, structures, melodies and basslines, finalise all tracks with my own mixing and mastering. Sometimes I add my own backing vocals and often write lyrics. I create all my own titles and themes, design artwork, and when i have time, promote and support other artists as much as I can, I got into music at a very early age, I love all types of sound/genres especially electronic music, hiphop/rap, house, techno, 70s soul/funk, some rock but mainly....anything that sounds good! I started making dance music with a Commodore Amiga as a young teenager and over the years, through my love of music loud, I have blown my fair share of speakers..(hence my other name "THESPEAKERBREAKER"). Johannes Gruber—aka vANdERlAMP—is a Vienna-based producer of electronic and other music. After learning to play cello and guitar as a child, he has since incorporated the world of synths and sample-based music into his body of work. His main focus is on ambient soundscapes and triphop mixed with a plethora of other influences, such as field recordings and the like. Whatever falls into his hands is transformed into sound.
