Elisa Sintjago

Elisa Sintjago was born in Amsterdam. She grew up in a musical family. She attended church frequently, being exposed to a full spectrum of Gospel music by the time she was ten years old. When she was a teenager she was selected to lead the church choir as a soloist. She performed often in church events and school holiday pageants. Elisa attended the Lucia Marta’s Academy of Dance and Music. She graduated with a major in music performance and dance.

Elisa worked closely with her cousin, Glennis Grace, who won the national selection in the Netherlands for the Eurovision song contest in 2005. With Glennis, Elisa appeared on the Netherlands TV networks, SBS 6 and RCL 4, in the TV series Dunya and Desie. She also appeared in  the series, New Kids on the Block. Elisa also performed in musical theatre, performing the lead role of Kruimeltje, in the Amsterdam production of Kruimeltje.

Her modeling career began at the age of 16, scoring photo shoots in Complex, Glossy, and Glamour Holland. Three of the Netherlands' top fashion magazines. While in Cannes, she met photo agents from Victoria's Secret. She eventually won a contract and traveled to America to model for them. She immediately had  photo shoots and live shows. 

While Elisa was enjoying her modeling career, she practiced and promoted her singing. While in Los Angeles, she made connections with the Queen of R&B/Soul, Mary J. Blige. Mary’s organization was in need of backup singers for a US Tour. Elisa won the audition! She then started touring the states, singing backup vocals with  Mary J. Blige.

Eventually returning to Amsterdam, Elisa worked extensively with her own eight-piece R&B Funk and Jazz group, Junkviber. Junkviber and her played dates in Amsterdam, Belgium, France, Spain, England, Greece, Germany and Italy. Playing clubs such as the Bulldog, the Ritz, and the Hard Rock Cafe. The group performed in halls, pubs clubs, and restaurants. They performed anywhere good funk was appreciated.

Elisa is now touring around Asia promoting her music. She will perform in hotels, bars, pub openings, and all the big events that will be going on, in and around Asia. She performed in China, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Fuzhou, Haikou, Chengdu, Thailand, Bangkok, and Pattaya. She also enjoyed performing in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Elisa is known from the RTl4 TV show, X-Factor. She is also known for her music videos on the box and TMG. Her dance song, Your Baby was her first big hit in Europe. It was played on the hit radio station in Holland, Radio 538!
Elisa is working on her own album now, so be on the lookout. She will be collaborating with a lot of great artists!
