As a child growing up in South Africa, for Elisabeth Christmas meant strappy summer dresses, the tropical scent of sunscreen, and tree candles drooping in the heat. Cool, right? But at the same time, she longed for the kind of Christmas she only ever saw on TV. What must Christmas be like when there's snow outside and loved ones gather around a cozy fireplace? That must surely be the Christmas of her dreams! “A Simple Christmas” is Elisabeth’s sentimental ode to the kind of Christmas she always dreamed of – filled with love, music, joy and peace … and, of course, a fireplace.
