“It Started in the Garden” (2021), with its shimmering and tormented string passages and howling vocals, is Boulanger’s new single and first music video. “It’s more than a dark and moody love story of when you do something you love with someone you love and then they turn around and do it with someone else,” explains Boulanger. “As a passionate environmentalist, I’ve partnered with environmental organizations to raise awareness for the indelible importance of biodiversity in the face of climate change. The video includes choreography in intoxicating gardens and wild forests with roaming wolves.”

Today, Caroline Cecil, known to the world as WHIPPED CREAM, links up with NEST for an EP telling a story of self-awareness and untiring persistence.

The three-track PERSISTENCE EP sees her focus on refining the distinct hues of her production, with each track embodying a state of mind that either spurs her artistry, or holds her back. The A-side “IGNORANT” is unforgiving and angry, while the B-side “SELFISH” is nonchalant and eerie.

Performing Love 3/4 - Harold Hejazi

We meet at Harold’s home for some popcorn. Well, we talk some about love too. Harold is taking part in the Performing Love festival in Kiasma, the 11th & 12th of April. This is a two day festival with the aim to spread the culture of love and explore it as a communal force. At the festival Harold will be doing his Animating Love performance. The performance works to evoke experiences of love with the audience while learning about the Love Foundation’s five pillars.

Elise Boulanger is a sweet darkness wrapped in orchestral instrumentation. Hailing from Vancouver  and Nanaimo Canada on Coast Salish lands, this Chamber-Pop artist completely captivates audiences with her haunting avalanche of a voice. Boulanger is a bilingual operatically-trained environmental advocate that creates cinematic dreamscapes atop bass, cello, violin, piano, drums and ukulele.


“Spirit Seekers” (2024) showcases an electronic entrance for Boulanger. This composition is for the seven part docuseries Spirit Seekers that shares the rumoured ghost stories of locations around Vancouver Island. What’s more is Director and Medium Paula DeMontigny's special ability to sense and communicate with the Spirits who roamed the areas.
Performing for over 15 years, she began touring in 2021 to Western and Eastern Canada as well as Vancouver Island and the Kootenays as she continues to grow in the Canadian market. Boulanger is sonically reminiscent of Kate Bush with her angelic yet raw dramatic artistry and has been deemed as "definitely one to watch" by the Times Colonist. Her actions are bold and beautiful as she takes advantage of the stage to teach audiences how to adapt to climate change. 


She has played shows with Carmanah, Tanika Charles and Etienne Fletcher. Notable performances include Canada Day Victoria (2023), the Honda Celebration of Lights (2022) and numerous festivals, concert series and theatres including Jeux Franco-Canadiens du Nord et de l'Ouest (2023), Filberg Festival (2022), the Banff Gondola (2022), the Tidemark Theatre (2021,2023), Port Theatre (2021), Evergreen Cultural Centre (2023) and Orange Day in the Bay with Snaw-Naw-As First Nation (2022).
