Os Elision Of Animus  são uma banda de Death Metal portuguesa oriunda de Ilhavo, Aveiro. Tendo sido originalmente criados pelo terceiro trimestre de 2011 sobre o nome “Animus”, a banda compôs/gravou algumas faixas demo nos meses imediatos à sua criação. Depois de algum tempo a explorar novas composições, em Maio de 2012, os Elision Of Animus envergaram na criação daquele que viria a ser o seu primeiro lançamento oficial. Foi durante este processo que se deu a mudança de nome, mudança essa executada com a finalidade de individualizar a banda mais além, tendo em vista a facilidade de acesso acrescida dos interessados.

Os EOA apresentam-se através de “Dementia” como uma unidade versátil, combinando secções dinâmicas de Death Metal com o ímpeto do Deathcore e o carisma do Metal Progressivo. Fica estabelecido através deste lançamento o rigor com que a banda encara o processo DIY, tendo sido o EP inteiramente composto, gravado e produzido pelos dois membros constituintes dos EOA.

Elision Of Animus are a Portuguese Death Metal band hailing from Ilhavo, Aveiro. Originally created by the third trimester of 2011 under the name “Animus”, the band wrote/recorded a couple of demo tracks in the months immediate to its creation. After some time exploring new compositions, on May 2012, Elision Of Animus began writing what would come to be their first press release. It was during this process that the name change occurred, a change made in order to individualize the band further, having in sight an easier access for the listener. 

EOA present themselves through “Dementia” as a flexible unit, combining dynamic Death Metal sections with the energy of Deathcore and the charisma of Progressive Metal. As of this release, it stands clear how seriously EOA take their DIY course of action, having “Dementia” been entirely composed, recorded and produced by EOA’s two constituting members.
