Californian producer Tropo (Tyson Leonard) is known for his lyrical and hypnotic house music. Fusing live violin in a mix of brooding ethnic electronic and organic collaborations with musicians from around the world, Tropo has worked with fellow artists such as Ayla Nereo, The Polish Ambassador, Alan Parsons, and Wildlight. Tropo’s debut album Mira released on Jumpsuit Records, is a meditative journey. Now, Tropo is excited to share Siente Tu Corazon, coming out via Gravitas Recordings on September 7. The songs on this album come from Tropo’s travels around Mexico, Turkey, Russia and Austria and were made with people Tropo met on his travels, igniting stories and weaving a fabric through music and time. TROPO meaning “the moment in time or the point in space where change occurs” perfectly captures the essence of the cultures around the globe in the auditory exploration within Siente Tu Corazon.

“Siente Tu Corazon” introduces the aptly named album with its dark yet otherworldly tones. Vocals from Alfonso Toro and Arturo Lome captivate the listener while feelings of an expansive world to be explored overtake. “Pantano Mistico” featuring Jesse Hendricks guides us down a dreamy, winding path, through organic sounds of guitar and wind instruments before Tropo and Gevorg Dabaghyan perform “The Summoning”. Deep and explorative, “The Summoning” escorts the listener through the cosmos of time and space. Emerging from the heavens, Ayla Nereo joins for “Heart Moon”, a joyful and effervescent discourse on the beauty of the Earth around us. In a cinematic and sonic journey, “Twilight Fox” places us into the wild and free world of the explorative fox, travelling through their untamed and broad world in the wild before wandering down the “Blue Mountain” in a dark yet housey departure. “Days To Come” presents a profound nomadic exploration of downtempo bass. Next, named after the feathered serpent deity of the Mayan people, “Feathered Serpent” is a tribal observation of flowing drum patterns before “Disco Dreams” bestows a celebration under the stars with its high energy temper. Lastly, true to its name, “Tempest” captivates the listener with its intoxicating beat, revolving and evolving as the track reaches its apex.

I feel stoked to offer this mixtape to you all, featuring a lot of tracks from myself and the great artists on the @jumpsuit-records Label.  I dug deep on this one, and found some old gems.  Stay in for the long ride, if you can.  It's got a nice arc to it.  This mix strays a bit from standard dance/festival type mixes, since I'm a guitarist, and offer a lot of mellow, chill music.  That said, the initial build up is pretty quick, and then settles down halfway through for the acoustic set.   Sort of a "sweat, then pray" type of vibe.  
I feel incredibly honored to realize how many songs I'm involved in on the label at this point.  And there's more to come!  Thanks for listening...

Sharp Waters Music releases a twelve track masterpiece, Warrior Sound.  A manifestation of sonic frequencies arises from the journey that is Galen Farrel, who has roots in Monterey Bay punk rock and reggae and Bay Area’s hip hop culture.  Creating a pioneering soundscape, he fuses pulsating bass beats, dubs, and electrifying rhythms which make for an incredible psychedelic nourishment of varying tempos and themes.  He paints and draws experimental energies of intricate patterns which resonate magically within each sound composition and furthers a hypnotic atmosphere.  Sharing ancient visions, this odyssey is a mind boggling, jaw-dropping, and groundbreaking unification of intuitive warrior powers.

Planted in the soils of Monterey Bay punk rock and reggae, Sharp Waters Music bloomed in fog-riddem’ Bay Area hip-hop. Melodizing notes of beauties and atrocities alike, the sound caught the Pacific winds up the blues of the California Delta, to take in the sun and rain of Sacramento Valley’s Midnite Events. Enriched by fertile fidelities, and driven to gyrate skyward, the sound found refuge in Lightning in a Bottle, resonating vibrations to Symbiosis, and making way to set roots in Lucidity. The path becoming clear, and the struggle ever real, seeds were set in Flagstaff, at Firefly, in Hurricane, Ashville, and the swamps of Suwannee, where leaf fell to ineffable geometry, and elder souls gave guide the way. Rivers led to New Orleans, and across the plains to the pueblos of the high plateau, in Taos, New Mexico. Now enjoying the rays of the upper canopy, with the tough bark of far travels, and a cambium with the capacity for circulating a way of peace, Sharp Waters Music is here to share in the ancient ways, painting in pastels of spectral odyssey and opaque overtones of binary, stories of origin and presence of being.

A truly epic night to say the least! An amazing crowd and incredible vibes. The only thing I prepared for this show were a collection of sequences and drum patterns from my sequencer. All voices, drum kits, modular patches, effects, etc were all created on the spot.
