We are back behind the decks with a DJ returning for a second spell here. She can stand alongside any of her male peers, with her unique skills, track selection and ability to build a mix. She is no ordinary DJane, this is Julie Petrecca!

Julie Petrecca was born in 1981 in Montreal. Since childhood, Julie is introduced to music as she grows up practically in the recording studio own by her father. He quickly transmits his passion and his interest for the world of music to his daughter.

In her late teens, she discovered Electronic music and her passion for music grows even more. All these years of musical culture and the well-kept connection to this particular universe, Julie's taste develops in several categories of Electronic music from Underground Deep House, Organic House, Progressive House, Melodic House & Techno, Techno ... nevertheless Julie prefers the underground sounds!

Since February 2015, Julie hosts her own weekly show ‘’The So What! Radioshow’’ presenting DJs and Producers from all around the world. She’s also involved in her Family radio, ‘’Radio Webphré’’ E N J O Y !

Here’s the set I performed for Back Room Social #4, which took place on March 27th at Bar La Shop in Montreal. I had to make a few edits since the recording wasn’t the best quality, but I managed to save it thanks to compression!

For this particular set, I leaned more towards a melodic and groovy sound. I hope you enjoy it!

RESISTANCE SESSIONS GUEST MIX #33 - by Casnik

Casnik (Nicolás Castillo) is an Argentine DJ/ Producer, originally from City Bell, La Plata. Since he was a child he felt music in a special way. He began to experience everything he felt inside through movement, like Michael Jackson, taking dance classes and going through various musical genres to learn the essence of each one and understand the different states of mind.
At the beginning of 2018 he began his career in the dj world, setting himself the premise of transmitting what music provokes in his senses and generating in the public that magical connection with the melodies he selects. 
In 2021, he moved to Tulum, where he began to open new horizons and continue to fulfill his goals, playing in clubs in Playa del Carmen, Holbox and Tulum; where he had the pleasure of being part of the line up with international DJs such as the Pan Pot duo, Roy Rosenfeld, Marcel Dettman, Armen Miran, Sam Sure, Bora Uzer, Dj Vibe, Gux Gimenez, Adi Dassler, Em Boss among others
In 2023, he focused on his development in the world of music production with releases in Mango Alley, Balkan Connection, Sunexplosion, 3er Avenue among others.
