"The Bible tells us that there is a way we can have patience when we face trials and tribulations, particularly the type of tribulations that will be coming in the not-too-distant future. “If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear. He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity. He who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword, and here is the patience of the saints” (Revelation 13:10). In a nutshell, this is saying that if we understand the persecution's outcome, we will have patience as we go through it.

This week in CyberChurch we are looking at several key events in the Bible in which it seemed impossible for God’s people to have a positive outcome. But there was a good outcome in each of those situations. When we understand those events and what the Bible teaches about them, then, we can be confident in the outcome when people begin to persecute, attack, and kill.

I can never refuse a Higher Palooza!

While there's so much to dislike about a global pandemic, the Zoom-effect on AA, AA's subcultures and the greater peer2peer community as a whole, will likely mark this turning point in our history - for those who survive the pandemic - as ground breaking in the way connection can be maintained online while we're locked down at home. 

One of the hand-down, no argument Five-Star bonuses from a year of living pandemically, is that Higher Palooza is here now, and maybe here to stay. Today we talk to a fraction of the helpful contributors to Higher Palooza #1 through #8:  Thanks to Terry, Annie, Tracy, Bobby and Sally. This was fabulous. 

Five from HP, via zoom from Dublin to Cleveland, we hear about the Palooza past and Higher Palooza future is put squarely at your feet - yep, you and me. Self-supporting is more than we who participate in AA pay our way; it also means we share the duties of involved in running meetings, events and outreach. Yin and Yang (n.) - the concept of duality forming a whole. A fundamental premise in Chinese philosophy now transposed to the electronic dance industry through the creation of Proton "Editions". Through encyclopaedic knowledge of the 2,000+ strong Proton roster of labels Tripp Baronner has envisioned a new concept of the principle of seemingly polar opposites, coming together as interconnected and independent universal forces - life and death, the dark and the light: one complete entity. 

From a passion for underground progressive house at opposite ends of the audio spectrum - the deep, shadowy atmospheres to the blissful, shimmering melodies, "Yin" and "Yang" were born in an effort to represent this phenomenon in musical form. Each release will provide a single remix of an existing Proton roster track for two inextricably linked labels in the form of a light (Yang) and dark (Yin) edition. Released on the same day, a strong contrast in styles will thus serve to complement each other and nourish the whole.
