With Ellen Allien’s latest album ‘Alientronic’ in full flight, in comes the first batch of remixes. For Rmxs 1, we have Terence Fixmer, Introversion and Regal; friends and comrades who are all supremely talented. Three artists, three fresh remixes... and a special edit, too!
We begin with two remixes of ‘Love Distortion’. First up is Terence Fixmer, the Frenchman with the Midas Touch. On his rework we get extra bold percussion that slams down with purpose as a gnarly guitar-esque riff rocks it out. It’s dark, twisted and seductive - techno heavy metal made to destroy dancefloors.
Next up is Introversion’s take. The rhythm gallops along with heavyweight beats and kicks. This track’s overall feel is murky until a trancey breakdown introduces a hypnotic motif and takes us into the main body of the track. Strap yourself in as this one is sure to take you away to another dimension.
The third remix in this package comes from BPitch Control regular Regal. His ‘XTC Remix’ of ‘Electronic Joy’ injects a ravey energy to the original. The percussion is high octane, pumping and utterly contagious, while the main riff has an enchanting retro feel. Get ready for the big breakdown...
Last up it’s ‘Love Distortion (Edit1)’, a special edit of the mesmerising cut. A sombre intro leads into this restrained track that utilises its power in a considered manner. There’s a tough kick drum, which works in tandem with the undulating low end to get your body moving - but the overall atmosphere is relatively melancholy and muted.

Plastiktanz is a DJ and artist based in Vienna. About five years ago, he co-founded the Gibba Collective and started organizing and hosting events that helped shape the local underground scene. Since then, he’s played in just about every club across the city - from Grelle Forelle and Praterstrasse to Das Werk and many more.
His sets are all about energy and flow, driven by forward-thinking rhythms that keep the dancefloor moving. Expect a groovy, genre-blending journey that’s always progressive, always evolving.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires and now resonating across Europe’s underground, Gina Demarchi has carved out her own lane between groove, intensity, and drive. A resident at Argentina’s iconic Fungi, she’s been leaving her mark on floors from Tresor and RSO to HÖR, Rote Sonne, and beyond.

Her SPND20 Mixtape is a hypnotic ride at high speeds - maintaining groove and character while hitting with full force. It weaves tribal, hardgroove, and dub techno with flashes of hip-hop-inspired vocals, a nod to DJ Rush and other icons who shaped her expressive sound.

Recorded the purist way: two Technics MK2s, a Xone 92, and nothing but vinyl -It’s fast, magnetic, and unmistakably her.

This time around we’re more than pleased to welcome the Ukrainian artist to the series. 

With releases on BITE, Flash, Standard Deviation and performances across Berghain, Tresor, RSO and Nuits Sonores, GAEL continues to work within the scene with a style of Techno that is deeply expressive, electric and alive.

For this one, I’m bringing in GAEL, an artist whose sound fits the Renegade Sessions spirit perfectly. Raw, tense and straight to the point. No gloss, no compromise. There’s a certain weight and tension in GAEL’s music that I connect with naturally. It’s dark, it’s physical and stripped of anything unnecessary.
I first came across GAEL through the ‘Frozen White Horse’  release on BITE, which left a strong impression on me. So I was curious to hear what kind of mix would come out of this session.
What you get here is exactly what I hoped for. Driven selections that hit hard but still hold focus towards a deeper path.
This is proper Renegade Sessions material through and through."
