Gustaf Spetz and Gabi Froden are Fires of May - a reference to the traditional fires that burn all over Sweden on the 30th of April every year.

We grew up together, went on summer camps, ran around town and played in bands with questionable names, and songs written on scraps of paper on way home from school. Life threw us in different directions before we found ourselves talking about working together again.
A few summers back we were sitting drinking by a moon lit lake near our hometown of Norrköping and we realised that the time was right for a new band to be born. We live in different countries, Sweden and Scotland, but if you know you’re on to something good, such things are of no consequence. And so a fervent sending of sketches, ideas and large files began. Gustaf by a piano, Gabi by a notebook.
Since Fires of May sprung into life five children have been born into our families, that moon lit lake has frozen over several times and fires have burned the last of winter away again, and again.
