This song has a simple melody and the lyrics are “Daly Mamba, daly mamba yeh” The speciality of the song is the canon structure. “What is a canon?” we were wondering, while learning the song. Is canon a specific European musical form? After some small research we found out that canon is a contrapuntal compositional technique. The name canon appeared and started to be used in Europe in 16th century. Repeating canons in which all voices are musically identical are called rounds and a playful way to learn about polyphonic singing.

The name is composed by the initials of their first names and has a phonetic meaning in French language saying Elle Aime or Elles Aiment which translates as she likes/loves or they (female plural) like/love. What they love is to make music and to move between cultures, languages and arts.
