French producer Jats makes his Purified Records debut with his 3-track ‘Rituals of Dreams’ EP. Showcasing his powerful sound, this EP demands attention from the very first beat, exploring captivating soundscapes from the title track into ‘The Perfect Sky’, and ‘Lost Planet’.

The ‘Rituals of Dreams’ artwork features a stunning photograph of a zebra shark, captured by Daniel Nicholson. The zebra shark is a distinct shark species that inhabits shallow coral reef areas in tropical waters. Their unique adaptations include barbels for locating prey, a flexible body for navigating tight spaces and the ability to suck up prey with their small mouths and strong gill muscles. As they mature, they undergo a change in appearance, transforming from dark brownish with yellowish stripes as juveniles, to small black dots on a tan body. Zebra sharks are nocturnal foragers, hunting on small prey like fish, snails, sea urchins, crabs and invertebrates in crevices. They can grow to almost 12 feet in length and have few natural predators. Their main threat is human activities such as fishing for their meat, liver and fins. They are listed as endangered according to the IUCN.

Located on the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia, Daniel Nicholson is one of the globe’s most prominent professional underwater photographers. He seeks to share the beauty and magic of the underwater world to inspire conservation and change.
