Monday night. It was still dark when I started. But everyone already sensed the first sunrise of this year’s Burning Man. I had arrived at the Black Rock Desert just hours before. After traveling direct from Germany which took more than two days.

I knew that the sun would rise 40 minutes into my set. I wanted to build everything around that. But when the sun indeed appeared over the dark mountains in the distant that moment, it was overwhelming. It felt like the music was manifesting itself now, with no more help from me, and we all were traveling into a new day together.

I collect and mix disco/italo/house and like to spice it up with a bit of electro/trance or all time classics.

If I think about standing behind the decks, it’s like thinking about an impossible love: you are desperately longing for those special moments, but you’re not sure if you will experience them. It is all worth taking the risk of feeling so nervous, because when you do have those special moments (having an enthusiastic audience), it’s the most euphoric experience there is!
