Truly grateful to have played a Cheeky Early Sunday Morning Set at the Pachena Bay Music Festival on the traditional territory of the Huu-ay-aht First Nations. This impromptu set took place during the energetic transition of the All Nighters heading to bed and the Early Risers arriving on the beach. The dedicated dancers weren't fazed by the fog & rain as we warmed up the beach and burned off the clouds.

„Alles Gute, altes Jahr“ ist ein gefühlvoller Jahresendsong, der Melancholie und Hoffnung in sich vereint. Der Song entfaltet sich in einem zurückhaltenden, akustischen Arrangement: sanfte Gitarren, dezente Schlagzeug-Patterns, gespielt mit Besen, und ein tiefes Bar-Piano schaffen eine warme, introspektive Klangwelt. Mit feinen Akzenten wie Sleigh Bells und Tubular Bells entsteht ein Hauch von Festlichkeit, ohne klassische Weihnachtsklischees zu bedienen.

Als inoffizieller zweiter Teil des Anfang des Jahres erschienenen „Zwischen Lutterothstraße und Hagendeel“ schließt er musikalisch einen Kreis und bereitet zugleich den Weg für das 2025 geplante Debütalbum.

Um ein Haar hätte es start.button.jetzt gar nicht gegeben. Nach dem Ende mehrerer musikalischer Herzensprojekte tat Wahl-Hamburger Thomas das einzig Vernünftige: Er hängte die Gitarre an den Nagel, absolvierte ein MBA-Studium und gründete eine Familie.   

Doch weil die vernünftigen Entscheidungen nicht automatisch die richtigen sein müssen, holte er die Gitarre wieder vom Haken und schrieb neue Songs. Etwas musste einfach raus. Und so nimmt uns sein Soloprojekt mit in tiefe Abgründe und euphorische Höhenflüge: vergebene Chancen, Zweifel, Neuanfänge und natürlich Liebe, das ewige Thema. In allem zeigt sich der Wunsch, im Hier und Jetzt anzukommen. Inhaltlich wie musikalisch geht start.button.jetzt dafür ans Limit. 

Musikalisch geprägt von Singer-Songwritern aus Latein- und Nordamerika sowie von deutschsprachigen Musikpoeten wie Pohlmann oder Philipp Poisel erzählt die Musik von start.button.jetzt eine ganz eigene Geschichte.
