alt-J are one of the most successful British bands of the millennium. Their 2012 Mercury Prize and Ivor Novello Award-winning debut An Awesome Wave, was followed two years later by their number one, GRAMMY and BRIT Award-nominated album This Is All Yours. Released in 2017, RELAXER flew straight into the top 10 of the UK album chart ahead of a summer of major international shows - including a headline show at London’s O2 Arena and headline performances at numerous festivals - and became their second album to be nominated for the Mercury Prize.

Rebel.li0N (pronounced rebellion; they/he) is a genderqueer, African American artist—multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, rapper, DJ, and producer—carving soundscapes from memory, movement, and resistance. Born of rhythm and raised in reverence, Rebel’s music is where history breathes and the beat becomes a language of survival.

They approach music like a cultural anthropologist—digging through sound for stories, tracing rhythms across oceans, and listening for what history tried to silence. After studying at Berklee College of Music and grounding themselves in social science, Rebel began to build a sonic practice rooted in the lived experiences of the African Diaspora—where genre becomes genealogy, and every sample, bassline, or lyric is an offering.

From Afrobeats to R&B, Hip-Hop to House, Rebel.li0N blends music that doesn’t just move bodies, but remembers. Honors. Reimagines. This is rebellion in motion. A soundtrack for the ones who survived. A rhythm for those still rising.
