Jonas Kopp first impressed the DJ-league and techno fans worldwide in 2007 with his incredible release on Spectral 43. In the meantime he released more amazing records on labels such as Weave, Vinyl Club and CMYK Musik. If we would have to describe his debut release on Curle - going stronger than ever these days with contributions from Thomas Brinkmann, Efdemin, Soulphiction, Anthony Collins and Martyn - we could say it sounds like Brothers' Vibe meets Radio Slave, at Berghain. German producer Losoul returns to the album format for the first time in ten years with his 'Island Time' LP showcasing the diverse scope of his sound in seven tracks.

Known for his stripped back, organic and emotive house music, on the forthcoming album Losoul doesn't disappoint as he delivers a collection of warm, jazzy and captivating ballads. 

Mixmag has locked in the premiere of a standout track off the album titled 'Square Down Smoother', a deep, steady and enveloping deep house cut primed for late night and early morning dancefloor excursions.

Premiere: Losoul 'Square Down Smoother'

Milan based collective Just This present the ‘Enter The Block’ EP from label mainstays Hunter/Game due November 2nd as a digital-only release. Featured in this five-track package are two remixes from Cassegrain and Amandra.

Title track is a minimalist roller featuring subtle acid inflections and a pointillist melody. For their remix, Cassegrain morph the unfurling hypnotism of the original into something more twisted, punctuating its cyclic nature with drawn out tones and frenetic rhythms.

‘Second Floor’ is an exercise in restraint, slowly building around one motif that swirls in and out of focus above stripped back percussion. Amandra provides an unexpectedly angular interpretation for his remix, repurposing the original into a molecular structure of atonal textures driven forwards by marching percussion.

Closing off the EP, ‘Explore’ revolves around a tiny, glistening melody, teetering on the edge of something bigger in a way that builds a brooding tension.
