1SHOT aka UNDTEKTID - Jordan Carl's early musical influences came from the freestyle/hip hop/electro side of dance music in the mid 80's.
Early influences were among artists-groups such as UTFO, Man Parish, Egyptian Lover, Newcleus, Debbie Deb, Afrika Bambaataa & The Soulsonic force, Whodini, Cybotron, Hashim, and many many more.
Jordan grew up on the New Jersey outskirts of New York City at a time when bboying and hip hop music was an everyday occurrence at school playgrounds and street corners.  This launched a strong love for dance and beats that eventually landed him in front of a set of Technics.
During his late teen years he attended his first "rave party" in Asbury Park New Jersey in the mid 90's called "4U" thrown by his friends at PLUR Productions.  It was his first class ticket to experience another form of dance and music.   Jordan attended parties held in NJ, NYC and scattered throughout the tristate area. These raves were constant one offs that easily brought 1000 or more people, where the dance floors were filled with liquid, popping & bboy style dancers and amazing sound and visuals.  
Now living in DC for some years and no stranger to the club and afterhours type EDM parties in the DC area, he started shifting his passion of dance to the turntables in late 2003.
Jordan naturally dropped into the breakbeat genre of dance music, beginning on vinyl until only just recently making the move to cdjs early 2016. Jordan’s ear for dance-enabling tracks, builds peaking mixed sets that bring dancers to the dance floor while heightening the overall energy in the crowd. 
As an original member of the Friends Collective Crew lastly known as the BreakbeatEnergy Crew based in DC in the early 2000's. UNDTEKTID aka 1Shot has been booked at Club Five, Singapore Bistro, Transit, Fire House and other mid-sized venues and most recently was double booked supporting Project Mayhem and Theoryon Records at Miami’s WMC 2016. Never one to turn down many mid-sized venues/bars and countless house parties. He has had the honor of sharing the decks with national and international talent including Wes Smith, Deekline, Lady Waks, Dj Icon, Wave Whore and many more.
Recently coming back from a 6 year break in music, and now known as 1SHOT, Jordan has joined forces with Banger Productions and the Fun & Bass Crew.  Jordan holds residencies with Fun & Bass,  GlasMix Project and Bass N Out Loud. Aside from holding a residency at GlasMix is managing operations with the other Crews and is now CEO of Bass N Out Loud.

    I've been djing and producing for the last 14 years.  I really love all genres of electronic music; I've never been one to follow the purest attitude.  My current status is assistant event coordinator and editor of podcasts for DC Raves Radio @ www.dcravesradio.com.  We have a weekly live show on Sunday nights from 7-10pm EST.
