Hidekazu Imashige aka Gallery Six is an artist and composer who is based on Miyoshi Hiroshima, Japan.

Based on his theme “Multidirectionally considering aesthetics which are very familiar, often forgotten, concealed in nature or events, and finally reveal them”, he has been making ‘sound sketches’ mixing drone sounds mainly created from synthesizer and materials field-recorded when he goes wherever his heart leads.

Alex Smalley creates music that is simultaneously abstract and serene. His compositions lend themselves to deeper listening states and convey a gradual, expansive progression. 

Over the last 15 years, his music has been released on numerous labels including Barge Recording, Serein, Umor Rex, and Dauw, across all formats. It has also been used for dance performances and films, including the 2012 documentary "Surviving Progress" by Martin Scorsese. 

Using a shifting array of analog, digital, and acoustic sources, the music manipulates the perceived sense of time and space. 

Careful consideration of the placement of sounds and instruments gives the sense of a natural environment interacting with benevolent technology. 

The cross-referenced sound takes influence from electronic music, new age, world music, and experimental sound design. 

Optimistic considerations of parenting, nature, wellness, biotechnology, and machine learning are current preoccupations in his music. 

After relocating from the UK to Weimar (DE) in 2017, Smalley began creating music under his own name. Previously, he has released collaborative works in the projects Olan Mill and Pausal.

Drones

My take on this was to use glitches or extraneous sounds that crop up in field recordings. These are usually edited out but here I extracted some from a couple of recordings and joined them to form a continuous sequence. After extending this sequence and adding a touch of reverb and delay I combined it with an evolving electronic drone.

FIREMAX presents Bleu du Vide Éternel (2025 Edit) — a refined version of Eternal Blue Emptiness.
A soundscape where silence expands into infinity, painted in shades of eternal blue.

A fragile blue planet drifts through the void, suspended in silent space.
A single, slow melody anchors the bass, while luminous chords shimmer like distant memories, evoking innocence and wonder.
Sandstorm-like textures blur the edges of perception, suffusing the music with an uncanny unearthliness.

Without drums, time dissolves — the listener floats through vast emptiness, where solitude and fragile beauty intertwine.
A shorter edition, yet the same vast odyssey — an exploration of emptiness, memory, and the delicate, luminous fabric of our world.

The Chaos Computer Club is Germany's primary source for futuristic and alternative thinking since the 80s. Each year between Christmas and New Year's Eve, this association gathers hackers from all over the galaxy for a huge congress. Under the given conditions, the convention had to move to an online exile for the 2020 edition: The "Remote Chaos Experience" (RC3). Music and all kinds of arts are an integral part of these conventions - this set is one of the contributions to the four-day streaming marathon that soundtracked the RC3 (27 - 30th of December, 2020).
