The passion for electronic music started already in 2004, at that time with drum'n'bass and under the name Flash 
Gorgo. 2015 even an own album was released on CrossBase Records. However, energetic, bass-heavy sound has
always been an important trademark. In 2018, after a short break from DJ life, the resurrection took place with a 
rekindled love: dark minimal techno and under a new name "The Renaissance" - inspired by the rebirth in the 
techno world. As co-founder of Tiefdruck project, The Renaissance is responsible for stage design and as a strong 
hand in organizing everything that has weight and substance in the collective. Besides the Tiefdruck project, he has
played numerous gigs in clubs and at smaller festivals in Europe over the years. The first own productions in the 
studio are already in the making. Keep your ears open.

mexCalito is a young, authentic as well as talented artist/producer & DJ.
When he is not performing or travelling, he spends most of his time at the second home – the studio. His productions are being released by some of the world's best underground techno/minimal labels, such as: Digital Diamonds Records, Alpaka Muzik, Techgnosis Records Subios Records and Shadow Wulf Records, just to name a few.

He´s living and breathing techno music and creates enthusiastically his own music styles and he sees himself pretty lucky, because he had, and hopefully also has in future, the privilege to travel to plenty of places allover the planet to perform and present his music. In some of them, mexCalito is already a well-known and familiar name.

He walks through his life with a hedonistic lightness, a marvellous togetherness is essential and also necessary for him. He bubbles with energy and is an integral part in organizing parties. His sound is characterized by frisky and deep and rolling basses and a experimental hypnotic groove. He takes the crowd on its tapestry of sounds and creates a sensational vibe and atmosphere and which leads to a deep energetic level of mind. His unique music style is a composition between techno, zenonesque, minimal and is influenced by a haunting psychedelic groove. Driving psycho synth tones with bubbling and fizzy sounds arisen from another world and also his freakish and funky drive will kick you into yet unknown dimensions, which guarantee an exceptional physical experience on your journey and on the dancefloors.

During the last few years, Elmar's personal surroundings have developed into a creative source of energy with which he has been maximizing his potential and expertise. Together with his early companion and friend Florian Frings he founded his own label 5D.records.

"LIFE exists. Now we have to level up the transfers between the “5th” and “reality”. You want to know how that works? 
Just keep your mind open. Everything will be explained without spoken words. You will hear it!“

In 2012, Elmar's own artistic vision gave birth to his debut album: “living.LIFE". What was once meant to be a live-set for an upcoming festival, evolved into a 13 track release. Infused with the living essence of sound, it is an intimate collection of snapshots that reflect more than words ever could. "living.LIFE" were released on his own label 5D.records in December 2013.

A few months later, a big dream came to reality. 
Elmar dropped his first own 4 Track EP. (DayNight EP). 
Released on Richie Hawtin ́s Label M_NUS.

Three years after his debut album, he is ready with the second one! “EXISTED.live” will also be released on 5D.records. Followed by the “EXISTED.live Remix Series A – I“ presented by Elmar Strathe. Continuously released on 5D.records in 2017.

5D. Where creative theory becomes sound reality.
