This session has so much personality to it musically. Since we are about to do  a massive and rare collaboration with Team Supreme, we thought it would be a good idea to get some of the guys from the TS crew to stop by, drop set, and promote this Tuesday's event (Team Supreme x Soulection Takeover @ The Echo - Tuesday, Aug. 20th). We hit up Colta and he brought Kenny Segal and Elos by to drop sets. All of these guys have so much experience and depth in the LA Beat Culture and beyond. Colta dropped a quick teaser of what's to come for Tuesday's event. Unfortunately, the live recording had some technical difficulties and Kenny/Elos' set couldn't be included! Very unfortunate, however we made sure to fill in their hour with solid selects to try and make up for their great set.

Aside of Colta, Kenny, and Elos, Joe Kay showcased brand new exclusive material from the gifted vocalist Jordan Rakei as well as Lakim who is getting close to featuring his next Soulection release! Vol. 73 (The Mad Decent iPhone App Cypher)

Brighton-based High Lucia steps forward with the Wash EP, six lush electronic tracks and his debut release for Lex Records.
High Lucia is 20-year-old producer Leo Marcus, who first started to make waves under the name Pále thanks to his 2013 Playing Truant collaborative EP with Joshua Idehen. Released via label and collective GETME!, the record was tipped and praised by Dazed, Dummy, The 405, FACT, Hyponik, XLR8R and more.
Now reborn and refocused as High Lucia, Marcus offers up Wash. Although largely instrumental, Joshua Idehen – Benin City vocalists and frequent collaborator with Hyperdub duo LV – returns for final track Opal/Forever where he’s joined by Shanaz Dorsett, who describes herself as, ‘Wu-Tang meets Minnie Ripperton’. The EP couples sweeping ambient instrumentation, vocal snippets and minimalist basslines resulting in a gorgeous showcase of High Lucia’s emerging talents.
High Lucia’s Wash will be available digitally and on vinyl from 25th August via Lex Records.
