The guys were sleeping in a storage unit/cozy home in the heart of downtown El Paso, Texas on the 7th floor of a downtown building. Early morning recordings. Public bathrooms and buses. Freakouts and all night parties on the roof with various friendlies, smarties, sexies, junkies, artsies, activists, peepers and enlightened officials. Hazy and lazy makes Young Chris crazy.

I remember I was hanging out at my apartment with my girl in Sunset Heights over on Prospect Street when Xavi randomly knocked on my door. I think he was in the neighborhood because he had stayed over at somebody’s apartment the night before. He came in and I showed him something I’ve been working on. I think I may have played the song… twice. Then he said “OK man, Ready if you want to record”. Then did this beautiful thing in one take. ￼So great. ￼
