Taking the release-portfolio into account, Rampa built over the last years on Keinemusik, him adding a new EP to the labels catalogue is worth every credit of trust. And this very “Trust” EP is living up to that not only by its name. It certainly offers value for money, considering KM-releases have mostly been two-trackers. There are four cuts on this one, each one following a different approach, making it also a hella versatile record.

It opens with the titeltrack, the floor-mantra within this bunch. A ruminant groove, backed by lifting and dropping notes, launching a catchy synth-figure and adding up synth-layers until all tension drops into a break that’s as curative as a talk therapy. A track that, out of unshakable serenity, unleashes an irresistible energy.

The following “Entropie” comes closest to what could be considered a Rampa classic. Percussive loops that are scooped up with even more banging and clanking – check. Lurking synthbass in the back – check. Vocalsamples with tribal descent – double check. Generally, you’ll find a whole lot of folklore in this rhythm rich affair, that continuously is jazzing up to highest ecstasy levels.

The flipside opens with “Defiled”, led by a prominent synthline, that’s going through various filter highs and lows and gets bludgeoned by some vigorously swung claps. Raw, naked floor material lacking any flourish, that seems to even fire up a jackhammer during the break.

“Headsup” is concluding this set. Triggering the smell of watered sidewalks, lit-up only by flickering neon light, immersed in the depths of delay, this latenight-story finds some redemption and warmth within the glow of its soulful vocal samples.

‘Off Week elrow Various Artist’ is the 79th reference of elrow Music, conceived as a tribute and soundtrack to Barcelona’s forthcoming Off Week, the big week of electronic music in the Mediterranean city, taking place in parallel to one of the big dates of the year: Sónar Festival. 

This compilation, curated by elrow Music manager, De la Swing, presents 18 original tracks from a wide range of artists, as De la Swing himself, beside tracks as ‘Hypnotic Stick’ by Danniel Selfmade & Emmanuele Inglese, ‘One More Time’ by Ivan Pica & Patrick M. Also notable are ‘All Night Long’ by Vibe Killers, ‘Benji’ by Jacky and ‘Seshon’ by eNAHS.

In general, it is an homogeneous compilation, physical and joyful, a reflection of elrow’s sound branch, although at times it can result mental and hypnotic, thanks to tracks like ‘Whiplash’ by 
Andy Lee, ‘Hold Me Down’ by Gallya, ‘Hypnotic Stick’ by Danniel Selfmade & Emanuele Inglese or ‘Forbbiden’ by Kalyde. 

There are also tracks as ‘Naughty Sauce’ by Rich Wakley, ‘Acid Roller’ by Raffa FL or ‘Kick Back’ by Justin Hoobs, that turns ‘Off Week elrow Various Artist’ into a balanced compilation, making it a quite a complete work, with a wide range of sounds that will make any listener to enjoy from the beginning to the end.

In this 79th reference, De la Swing managed to compile a harmonious set of tracks, making this new elrow instalment the perfect soundtrack for such an important week in Barcelona’s dance scene.

‘Off Week elrow Various Artist EP’ es el trabajo con el que el sello elrow Music busca rendir tributo y ponerle banda sonora a la inminente Off Week, semana grande para la electrónica en 
Barcelona, celebrada en paralelo a una de las citas del año: Sónar Festival. Este recopilatorio, compilado por el responsable de elrow Music, De la Swing, presenta 18 cortes originales de 
una gran variedad de artistas, como del propio De la Swing, además de ‘Hypnotic Stick’ de Danniel Selfmade y Emmanuele Inglese o el ‘One More Time’ de Ivan Pica y Patrick M. También 
destacan ‘All Night Long’ de Vibe Killers, ‘Benji’ de Jacky y ‘Seshon’ de eNAHS.

En líneas generales, es una compilación homogénea, física y alegre, como es marca de elrow, aunque a ratos llega a ser mental e hipnótica, gracias a temas como ‘Whiplash’ de Andy Lee,  ‘Hold Me Down’ de Gallya, ‘Hypnotic Stick’ de Danniel Selfmade y Emanuele Inglese o ‘Forbbiden’ de Kalyde. 

Por su parte, tracks como ‘Naughty Sauce’ de Rich Wakley, ‘Acid Roller’ de Raffa FL o ‘Kick Back’ de Justin Hoobs dan a ‘Off Week elrow’ equilibrio, haciéndolo un recopilatorio bastante 
completo, con tracks de todos los colores y que harán que el oyente disfrute de principio a fin.

En esta referencia 079, el encargado de la compilación, De la Swing, consigue un trabajo lleno de armonía entre los distintos tracks, haciendo que esta nueva entrega sea la perfecta banda 
sonora para una semana tan señalada como la Off Week.

Released back in 2006, 'Atlas' has reached its ten year anniversary and what better way to celebrate than with some shiny new remixes? From one duo another, Swiss pair Adriatique have swapped DIYmanic for devilish with their new re-imagining.

They've taken the techno bruiser and turned into a twinkly builder, one that keeps intact all of the components that make the original so good. The colossal main riff is still there, creating a nice amount of dread while tones flutter innocently in the background.

After exceptional releases on much-respected imprints like Dixon’s Innervisions, Drumpoet Community and Mood Music, Berlin-based artist duo FRANKEY & SANDRINO brings their sophisticated, deep house sound to Kompakt with the HYDRAE EP – three new and highly versatile tracks that prove once more the perfect symbiosis of Frank Beckers’ technical know-how and Sandrino Tittel’s selector expertise from his days as resident DJ at Wuppertal’s famed Butan Club.
