I am chuffed to start my monthly residency on @universalrhythms.radio starting today 7PM UK / 8PM UK alongside loads of great DJs from all over the globe. I feel super inspired as I am basically constantly mixing records at the moment and when I listen back to my mixes I am like: that’s right, that’s exactly what I was trying to do. Congrats Marcel, you are a DJ. Eventually I ll write an essay or a book or a documentary, I have so many thoughts and emotions surrounding that topic. On Saturday April 14th, Razor-N-Tape will be celebrating their 5-year anniversary at Elsewhere with a stacked night of their patented blend of house, disco, soul, and funk. One of the night's many performers is Glasgow's own Al Kent. The Million Dollar Disco label owner has made a reputation for himself as one of the finest Disco DJs around and a certified crate digger. Both of those characteristics are on display in this fantastic mix from Al Kent.

This is a mix I must have made somewhere mid 90ies and were already classics back then (tape is called De Mijnes Classics II). Most of the tracks are still tracks that I like, which is not always the case with old mixes. Influenced by my time in iT Amsterdam mostly these vocal tracks were the tracks that coloured my nights and shaped my musical memories
