Next up in the Audio Series we present: Bloody Mary

Bloody Mary encompasses all aspects of an established electronic musician: she’s a producer, she performs live, she’s a vinyl DJ, and she’s been running the label Dame-Music since 2010.

The French-born, Berlin-based artist likes to be kept busy. When she’s not caught up running between airport gates, she’s usually locked away in her hardware-heavy studio, continuously mastering her art as a producer.

After relocating to Berlin in 2005, it wasn’t long before Bloody Mary’s career as a DJ was put on the international stage. Nowadays, her name is easily recognizable in the worldwide electronic music scene, having performed at festivals and clubs the world over as both a DJ and live act for more than 10 years.

In 2010, Bloody Mary started her own vinyl and digital imprint: Dame-Music. Celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year, to this day the label has had 44 releases (featuring artists like KiNK, Thomas P. Heckmann, Lady Starlight, Alien Rain, Hardfloor, and many more), and has hosted numerous label parties across Europe.

As a producer, Bloody Mary has released countless records on Dame-Music over the past 10 years. Since 2017, she decided to branch out further, releasing her music on Josh Wink’s Ovum Rec., DJ Pierre’s Afro Acid, and Tim Taylor’s legendary UK techno imprint, Missile. She regularly features as part of Amsterdam’s ADE, such as being hand-picked by Roland to talk about their illustrious 303, or being asked to produce and match music to an advertisement in front of a team of industry professionals as part of a Sync panel.

Fast forward to 2019: she was chosen to make an official remix of Phuture’s classic “Acid Tracks” which was widely acclaimed. She also launched her solo live act, making her debut in the infamous basement of Tresor Berlin.

Pandemic aside, in 2020 she has showed no signs of slowing down: a full collaboration EP with Cardopusher dropped in February, including a remix from Sarin. This is followed by a double vinyl release to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Dame-Music, which includes tracks from label artists new and old, as well as some exclusives from special guests.

2020 also saw the release of her 10 minutes “Against The Clock” feature on FACT Magazine’s YouTube channel, which continues to receive outstanding feedback to this day.

Bloody Mary’s unique musical taste and elegant on-stage presence have seen her feature at festivals such as Movement Detroit, Piknic Electronik Australia and Barcelona, Intro Festival Mongolia, Epizode Vietnam, Rainbow Serpent, ADE, Sonar and WMC Miami. She has also graced the decks of world-renowned clubs like Fabric London, Space Ibiza, Panorama Bar Berlin, Smart Bar Chicago, Shelter Amsterdam, Tresor and many more.

Based in Berlin by way of Madrid, he's made quite a name for himself in the last couple of years. In 2014 he joined the KEY imprint and later became part of the Unbroken Booking agency, a established collective of friends and artists from Berlin. Hector has also released superlative works on Sonntag Morgen, Quant, and Mutewax along with a slew of spectacular remixes that have been played by superstar djs around the world. At the start of this year 2016, he founded his own imprint, OAKS, with its first release being one of his strongest works yet. Sound-wise, what is unique about Hector is his uncanny sense of producing truly evoking and outstanding pieces of timeless techno. Powerful, deep, raw and emotive his sound juxtaposes classic and soulful Detroit with Berlin's modern raw and powerful sound, meanwhile infusing his trademark of authentic and enthralling melodies. In this mix for us, he delivers a seminal session full of good old, stomping techno mixed with exquisite, varied textures.
