Minneapolis has been my home since birth. I love this city. I love its diversity. My heart goes out to the family of George Floyd, and to the black community. My family and I are committed to listening, learning, praying, and acting.

Las piezas musicales que contienen este minúsculo espacio cibernético estan construidas con un antiguo piano electrónico GM y el secuenciador en desuso Logic Platinum 5.3, no utilizo samples, los ritmos son construidos con las herramientes del secuenciador y con la ayuda de algún Vst. Las pistas que componen las piezas estan mezcladas con audio y midi. La pista original es importada por el secuenciador en formato wave. Soundcloud permite un número limitado de pistas en razón a su duración o a su tamaño, si pagas, no tienes limites. Asi que, cuando subo una pista, automáticamente se eliminan algunas para dejar sitio a la nueva. Para mi este es un gran lugar de encuentro, donde compartir nuevas ideas y apredender. Espero que les sirva de algo esta musica.

The musical pieces that contain this tiny cyber space are built with an old GM electronic piano and the outdated Logic Platinum 5.3 sequencer, I don't use samples, the rhythms are built with the tools of the sequencer and with the help of some Vst. The tracks that make up the pieces are mixed with audio and midi. The original track is imported by the sequencer in wave format. Soundcloud allows a limited number of tracks due to their duration or size, if you pay, you have no limits. So when I upload a track, some are automatically removed to make way for the new one. For me this is a great meeting place, where to share new ideas and learn. I hope this music is of some use to you.

Minneapolis composer Chris Bartels has been writing ambient music under the name Elskavon for a decade, and Blurstem was born as a piano-centric offshoot of the project. 

He and his wife were gifted an old spinet piano when they bought a house in 2015. Always slightly out of tune, a little dusty sounding, and very much imperfect, the instrument has its own character. But it wasn’t until Chris cut up an old sweater and taped it to the strings, so as to avoid waking up their children at night, that his love for that character really took form.
