Finally Remcord is back on Atmosphere Records and it won’t go unnoticed. This EP, also available on vinyl, features two of Remcord’s new tracks alongside remixes of KollektivOst (Simple As That Records, 3000Grad) and Arts & Leni (Ton liebt Klang, Ostfunk).
The originals demonstrate Remcord’s progression as a producer but also he’s recent touring has shown his evolution. This summer he played his live set all over Europe from Ibiza to Oslo and he rocked! The groove, the synths and deep drums make it a true Remcord release. The Kollektiv Ost remix adds a housy vibe to this EP with a catchy vocal and deeper sounds. Arts & Leni bring their typical uplifting minimal groove and provided us the perfect closing track.

Jingle bells! The countdown to Christmas is on with the DT office already having opened the first window on our advent calendar, scoffed a mince pie for breakfast and getting ready to give you our first gift of the festive season.

Yep, it's not only fat bearded men from the North Pole who start feeling generous this time of year, with Lower East boss Cozzy D returning to Data Transmission to give away a fresh slice of tech house. The man behind London and Ibiza club sensation, Creche, Cozzy has made a name for himself as a world class producer with cuts for the likes of Noir, Get Physical and Dirtybird and we're pleased to report that today's offering is of similar quality. 

Titled 'Panorama', the track may well seem to familiar to who has caught Richie Hawtin, Dusky or Richy Ahmed in action recently with all three giving the cut plenty of love in their sets over the past few weeks.

Think Luigi's Mansion meets techno (listen to it, that reference will then make a lot more sense) - we're still not quite sure why 'Panorama' wasn't the lead cut in a full EP. Cozzy's just a generous guy we guess...

It was back in 2010 that Prosumer came and played at our End Of Year Riot event at Legends (RIP) where he blew the roof off of the Voodoo House Chamber!

This year he joins us once again on December 27th for 20 Years Of The Electric Chair....

Always a complete gentlemen and amazing DJ...lets just say that excitement levels are reaching fever pitch already and this exclusive mix he has recorded for us ahead of the 27th most definitely feeds that anticipation!

„The craze about the music...“
...the man called Prosumer is besotted with it. Since Achim Brandenburg heartily grabbed the microphone under this moniker in 2005 for Frankfurt’s then undisputed Label Playhouse, he showed that lasciviousness, a fever for Chicago’s Jack flavour and consciousness of tradition aren’t necessarily bound to a time and a place. Vision, passion and knowledge make Prosumer a guardian of house music history and one of the formative artists, influential DJs and important producers of our days.
While deriving his name from Alvin Toffler’s techno sci-fi-bible The Third Wave (producing and consuming at the same time), Prosumer lives up to his name. With more than a decade of Hard-Wax-Record-Store-enculturation on the clock (first in Saarbrucken, then Berlin), he spent countless nights in clubs, days looking for music and years refining his art and becoming in line with the “big three”. This is not a reference to Detroit’s car companies, but the city’s musical heritage that – together with the Big Apple and the Windy city – laid the foundation for techno and house builds with the Big Apple and the Windy City.
Prosumer oscillates between these poles. That holds true for his productions, which are affected by references and historical vertexes, but never feel to be out of time or place. An album with Murat Tepeli and collaborations with Tama Sumo expand his discography for labels like the aforementioned Playhouse, Running Back or Swayzak’s 240 Volts. On the other hand – and that might be far more important – this is exemplary for his DJ work since the mid-nineties. Prosumer connects the tracks and songs of this music’s golden age with the worthwhile pieces and developments of today. Accordingly to that special feeling which is so hard to couch, he gets engaged in it from tip to toe – and so does his audience. Proved by his mission as one of the residents in Berlin’s influential club institution, on his official mix CD for that place that describes his spectrum of sound perfectly and by this certain magic that travels with and in him everywhere.

After starting the mini Dekmantel Selectors podcast series last year, we couldn’t resist continuing it with artists from this year's line-up. In the next couple of months, we will release 5 podcasts by some of our favourite artists. This year’s podcast theme is all about 'another side of me', wherein the artists show another side of theirselves.

Next on is Izabel Caligiore, who runs the impeccable Lullabies For Insomniacs record label and blog. LFI emerged as a radio show on Melbourne’s 106. 7 PBS FM but has found a new home on Red Light Radio after she relocated to Amsterdam. Both the imprint and the online portal show her deep love for unearthed electronics, modern classical gems and ambient music. 

For the 15th mix on these series, Izabel took some time to prepare a mix where she shows another side of herself. "This mix is about intensity and challenges. I recorded it in the confinements of my living room and I enjoyed every minute, although I'm not sure my neighbours did. Playing with and around the beat."
