I've gone for key blends where possible, and I wanted to feature a selection that encompasses everything to me that makes atmospheric jungle/d&b the special genre that it's always been, with a 2023 twist on production techniques. We invite Deutan for an excursion into the abyss for the next Modern Hypnosis Podcast. 

A disciple of Ōtautahi’s pre earthquake drum&bass/jungle scene. 
Deutan’s then moniker ‘Jumbo’ started buying records at 15. 
Eventually playing various outdoor, club and soundsystem nights. 
Later including Subtle’s legendary formative dubstep parties.

Moving forward, after living in Berlin and two stints in Melbourne see’s him leaning more into leftism-techno, electro, house and bass offshoots. 
Drawing from experiences, inspiration and a constant search for deeper cuts allows his sets to weave through emotion whilst pushing narrative.

This mix displays Deutan's selection wisdom with deejay precision and will interest the ears of the seasoned raver.
