This is a playlist of my older songs, before the giant GarageBand update and before I got my new iPad. These throwbacks are arguably some of my best, good vibe songs, including songs like Sudden Light (Fast) and All Night Party. I named the album Journey because it was my 'journey' from when I started to where I am now.

At the time of it's creation, this was by far the most ambitious rip I've ever made. Fun fact: I had to split this track into three separate flp's

The only references that haven't picked up on are as follows:
- The bit around 0:28 references both Heartache and Fallen Down as it's the mellow piano patch playing the main heartache motif
- The instrument around 0:34 was intended to be a reference to Snowdin Town
-The left panned viola plays a countermelody from Save the World around 0:41 but in a minor key. The drum pattern for the entire section is the same from Hopes and Dreams before the lead guitar kicks in.
- The section starting at 0:44 was intended to be a reference to Stronger Monsters since I used the same strings, sawtooth, and xylophone samples from the song but after some thought I understand why it would be a stretch.
-The "Determination" leitmotif is played by Sgm Tubular Bells at 1:12.
-The square blips starting at 1:47 were intended to be a reference to Cascade from Homestuck but honestly I wouldn't count this one lol.

most instruments heard in this track are real, but fragmented and mangled into tiny little pieces

The astonishingly deep lore of the game meant the intended emotional evocations were incredibly specific. It also needed to be able to slow down to  half speed (and slower!) while still sounding good. It took over a hundred hours and multiple rewrites for me to be satisfied. Over half an hour of material was created, the ideas were distilled into this.

This song is based off of, if you couldn't tell, Cannon in D by Pachabell! It is one of my first songs I composed, and with a little help from a friend of mine, this awesome song hit the road! It is now one of my most popular songs on Youtube.

This is a remix or spin-off of Sudden Light (Fast). It's much slower and calm. Best listen to it when you're trying to go to sleep.

Sudden Light (Slow)

This is a really old song of mine that I used to play under my pillow when I couldn't sleep. It was one of my very first songs ever, so it kind of means a lot to me. I like the simplicity and ever-smooth rhythm.

Journey - Justice

Kitchen, is the result of a close collaboration with vocalist Felicia Chen.

Based on a well-known lullaby from northwest Iran, the composer deconstructs and reconstructs the folktune, moving through exploration of phonemes derived from the text, resonance space, vowel filters, and speed of airflow. Royaee supplements the lullaby with recorded sounds from a kitchen, which is an important place of family gathering in Iran. The composer envisions her mother sitting in her kitchen in Iran, thinking of her daughter. 
The text is derived from a poetry by Yadollah Royaee, who has a collection of poetries, all depicting various tombstones, for different people. The selected poetry was written for his best friends and the most famous female contemporary poet in Iran, Fourth Farrokhzad. Yadollah royaee is in exile.
