the iron touched my skin and left scars on it. when the week after everyone saw me, they asked about me and cared about what happened. i never felt so noticed in my life. it was normal. it felt scary. 
it’s strange because years and months before, i cut contacts with the world for a day and expected everyone to cry over me. when i came back, i cried finding out that everyone noticed, but nobody cared.
